0:00Here's more Birmingham news for March 13th. A popular cocktail bar in Birmingham, Alabama, called Parkside on 5th, is set to close his doors on Friday, March 27th. The spot, owned by local entrepreneur Tim, opened in 2022 after major renovations to a historic building once known as the Avondale. Marbleworks Tim first launched a home and garden business there back in 2000 and ran it for 10 years before transforming the space into this upscale bar. It sits right by Avondale Park and draws people in with its blend of elegance and unique flavors. The bar quickly became a go-to for a refined night out, complete with a garden, outdoor courtyard featuring a coy pond and firepid, plus an upstairs. Loft and private bar area, fans have loved the sophisticated atmosphere overlooking the park. Now, Tim is shifting his focus to a fresh project called Mockingbird Domain in Greensboro, Alabama. That new venue just opened after two years of work, pulling his full attention away from Parkside.
