Parents Push for Nursery Safeguarding Changes

This comes after 45-year-old worker Vincent Chan was sentenced to 18 years in prison last month for committing 56 sexual offenses against kids in his care. Chan abused children during nap time at the Bright Horizons Nursery in North London and police later found over 25,000 indecent images on his devices. Parents say early concerns about his behavior and staffing issues when ignored, allowing the crimes to happen. Now, more than 50 families are suing Bright Horizons and want nursery leaders held accountable through prosecution. They're demanding an independent reporting system for worries, mandatory CCTV or body cameras, a two-adult rule for supervision and tighter controls on nursery devices.
