Paramotor Crash: Survivor's Testimony

0:00On March 3rd, Sacha Dench was flying a paramotor on a 3,000-mile loop around Britain to spot light climate change when her aircraft collided. With one piloted by 54-year-old Dan Burton, the crash happened on September 18th, 2021. Burton died in the accident while Dench survived with serious injuries. The trip, called the Round Britain Climate Challenge, kicked off in June that year to build buzz ahead of the COP26 conference in Glasgow. Dench had earned fame before, as the human swan and a BBC documentary about a long-distance flight with swans from Russia. During testimony at a fatal accident inquiry in Tane's Sheriff Court this week, Dench tarred up recalling a prior paragliding crash in Wales that broke. Her arm and made her swear-off crowded skies.
