On April 21st, the Carolina Panthers just signed veteran quarterback Will Greer to bolster their death chart. This 31-year-old signal caller got released by the Dallas Cowboys back in March, and now he's slotting in as the number 3 guy behind Bryce. Young and Kenny Pickett. Greer actually got drafted by the Panthers themselves in 2019, snagged in the third round at pick number 100 out of West. Virginia. He was on a 4-year deal worth about $3,299,000 when they waved him early on. His career has been a real journeyman ride since then, bouncing between practice squads for teams like the Cowboys, Bengals, Patriots, Chargers, and Eagles. Dallas kept bringing him back, even promoting him at times, but he never locked down a steady active role. In limited action back in 2019, Greer started two games, going 28-52 for 228 yards, zero. Touchdowns, and four picks, plus a bit of rushing, no real game time since.

This move gives Carolina some experienced insurance at the position heading into training camp, closing the loop on Greer's NFL Loop.
