Panthers Sign Kenny Pickett as QB Backup

The Carolina Panthers just added some quarterback depth by signing Kenny Pickett to a one-year deal with $4 million guaranteed. He'll serve as the back up to Bryce Young, providing insurance if the starter goes down. This move comes courtesy of a report from Adam Schefter at ESPN. Pickett brings solid experience to the roster, helping shore up the position after a tough season for the team. Andy Dalton remains under contract with the Panthers through 2026, but bringing in Pickett could hint at Dalton hitting elsewhere soon. Pickett entered the league as a first-round pick by the Pittsburgh Steelers back in 2022. He spent two years there before moving to Philadelphia for one season.
