Panthers Sign Devin Lloyd to Massive Deal

0:00On March 10th, the Carolina Panthers are bolstering their linebacker room with a big move. General manager Dan Morgan agreed to terms with free agent Devon Lloyd, formerly of the Jacksonville Jaguars. The deal is worth $45 million over three years, including $25 million fully guaranteed. Lloyd can't put pen to paper until 4 p.m. Wednesday when the new league year kicks off. Once official, the 27-year-old will slot into the inside linebacker group alongside Trevor and Wallace and Bam Martin Scott. He's coming off his first Pro Bowl season, where he racked up 81 tackles, one-and-a-half sacks, seven pass breakups, and five interceptions. The Kansas City native also notched 10 quarterback hits that year. Over four seasons with Jacksonville, the 6-foot-3-235-pound defender tallied 4-36 tackles, 3-and-a, half-sacks, 26 pass breakups, and nine picks total. Remarkably, he's missed just five games in his career.
