Panthers Make Major Free Agency Moves

General manager Dan Morgan agreed to terms with outside linebacker, Jalen Phillips, inside linebacker Devon Lloyd, backup quarterback Kenny Pickett. Offensive tackle stone foresight and center Luke Fortner. These deals can't be signed until later that afternoon. Meanwhile, the team resigned key internal free agents like Long Snapper J.J. J. Johnson, cornerback Akellev Evans, defensive in LeBrien Ray, outside, linebacker Thomas Income, safety Isaiah Simmons and wide receiver David Moore on short-term deals for next year. These additions boost the roster to around 60 players under contract, strengthening both offense and defense. At quarterback, Bryce Young has picked his backup behind Andy Dalton. The offensive line gets help with foresight and Fortner, while Phillips and Lloyd add edge and inside linebacker Dev.

The Panthers released defensive end Ashan Robinson and waved defensive tackle Papo Amavai, with others like Cintercade Mays heading elsewhere.
