The Carolina Panthers are looking at veteran quarterback, Geno Smith, as a possible backup for Bryce Young. Reports say the Las Vegas Raiders plans to release the two-time pro bowl or soon, making him a free agent unless traded. Panthers head coach Dave Canales has a strong connection with Smith from their time together in Seattle. Canales' coach Smith there for three seasons, including as quarterback's coach in 2022.
