Panthers Draft Bryce Freeling: Trench Warfare Ahead

Panthers just snagged offensive tackle Bryce Freeling in the first round of the 2026 draft straight out of Georgia where he balled as a second team all southeast conference pick last year. He started 13 games at left tackle for the Bulldogs showing serious footwork for a big man with a 9.99 relative athletic score. That's the second highest mark for any of the 1,645 tackles tracked since 1987. Team brass is buzzing, especially GM Dan Morgan, who grinned ear to ear sharing a hype text from Freeling, basically saying let's go with a bunch of exclamation points, dudes pumped to join Carolina. Freeling steps into a loaded spot behind their 2023 first round or young, but the Panthers can't wait to develop this talent and build out that line.
