Packers Seek Cousins Backup QB

Willis proved himself as one of the league's top backups last season, and now the team has to find a solid replacement fast. Packers' general manager, Brian Gutekunst, recently addressed the issue, saying they've talked about various options without ruling anything out. One name in the mix is Veteran Kirk Cousins, who's still available this off-season. Cousins brings massive experience with 167 career starts, over 44,700 passing yards, 200. 98 touchdowns, and just 131 picks. Last year with the Atlanta Falcons, he went 5 and 3 and 8 starts, throwing for 1,721 yards, 10 scores, and 5 interceptions. That said, Cousins isn't the mobile runner Willis was, especially after his torn Achilles last year limited him to just 7 rushing yards. He also won't come cheap, even as a backup, which makes the fit tricky for Green Bay's scheme.
