The Green Bay Packers have restructured safety, Xavier McKinney's contract, to create some salary cap space. They converted $4,250,000 of his salary into a bonus, according to reports. McKinney signed a four-year deal with the team during the 2024 off season. That contract keeps him locked in through the 2027 season. In 2025, McKinney put up solid numbers with 107 total tackles. He also had 10 passes defense, one forced fumble, and two interceptions across 16 games. This move gives the Packers more flexibility under the cap as they plan ahead.
