ESPN analyst Jordan Reed released a new post NFL scouting combine, mock draft, projecting the Green Bay Packers to select Ohio State Cornerback, Davidson, Igbeno Sun with their second round pick at number 52 overall. Igbeno Sun is a 21-year-old athlete who fits the Packer's ideal cornerback mold at 6'2 and 189 pounds. He's explosive with good length, including nearly 33-inch arms, and he matches their need for physical play at a premium position. At the combine in Indianapolis, Igbeno Sun clocked a 4.45-second 40-yard dash, leaped 34 inches vertically and posted a strong relative athletic score above 8.0 out of 10. Over three seasons at Ohio State, he logged more than 2,000 defensive snaps, allowing just 22 catches for 207 yards, and no touchdowns last year while grabbing two picks.

His experience with 53 starts gives him a solid base, though technique tweaks could raise his ceiling to a number 2 corner in zone schemes. The Packers lack a first-round pick, but hold number 52 and number 84, and while they have Casey and Nixon, Carrington Valentine, and Nate Hobbs, they need depth for snaps now or long-term help starting in 2026.
