Packers' Love: Next-Level Leader

0:00On March 30th, Packers head coach Matt LaFleur stayed out of the spotlight after that tough wildcard lost to the Bears back in January. But over the weekend at the league meetings in Phoenix, he finally spoke up to NFL Network and most of his talk centered on quarterback Jordan Love. LaFleur called him a top trigger man who could take the team anywhere, saying they're lucky to have him locked in. Love got drafted in the first round, 26th overall back in 2020 out of Utah State. He's been his first three years learning behind Aaron Rogers, then stepped up in 2023 with 4159 yards and 32 touchdowns. That run got Green Bay into the playoffs, including a big upset win over the Cowboys where he posted a near-perfect passer rating. Packers fans got plenty to cheer about since Love took over. He's led them to the postseason two years straight as the main guy, something neither Brett Farve nor Rogers pulled off in their early starts. Still, they've dropped in the opening round both times, leaving that next level hunger real.
