In reality, Labar shared those views in an interview, stressing monitoring of agents while respecting their role. This mix-up highlighted immigration enforcement as a flashpoint in the campaign. Labar quickly distanced himself on social media, stating his team had no hand in the mailer and calling it factually wrong.
