Owusu-Koramoah's New Path: Harvard & Beyond

0:00On April 3rd, Cleveland Brown's linebacker, Jeremiah Ousu Kora Moa, got drafted in the second round of the 2021 NFL Draft with big dreams. He aimed to snag a Super Bowl ring and smashed the team's tackles for loss record. But a brutal neck injury against the Baltimore Ravens in 2024 derailed everything, likely ending his playing days. That hit came in a collision with running back Derek Henry on October 27th, leaving him paralyzed on the field before he got carted off. Fresh off a pro bowl season in 2023 with 101 tackles and 3.5 sacks, he had already signed at 37.5 million dollar extension and not 61 tackles in 8 games that year. Now sideline through 2024 and 2025, the 26 year old shifted gears fast. He applied to Harbor Kennedy School for a Masters in Public Policy back in December 2025 and got the acceptance notice while heading to New York in March 2026.

1:01The Browns backed him all the way with owner Jimmy Haslam and General Manager Andrew Berry pinning glowing recommendation letters. Berry, a Harbor grad himself with degrees in economics and computer science, called it an easy yes, praising Ousu Kora Moa as a lifelong Brown and top ambassador. He starts classes this fall, 2026. As wide open to life off the field, turning setback into a fresh shot at impact beyond the grid iron.
