There's one GM in Alabama and I forget is I forget who the GM was there was one GM Yeah, Alabama pro day watching Ty Simpson compared to the uh, I don't know exactly how many GMs but it's up It seemed like everyone else was at Columbus Yeah, I mean, you know what let's go ahead and just uh show some clips of this while we're on it and so yeah You got here. Let me mute this Here's your boy Kaden McDonald We're just going to show you awesome highlights that these boys working out big fella look at the big fella the big fella I love it. I love it So let me ask you real quick funky before we get into uh You know the breakout stars of spring practice and other things Let's touch on this now I think Kaden McDonald is is first round worthy and my bias maybe but I saw him just

3:11Do so much work in the trenches here at Ohio State against really good fronts I mean, I think I got an argument with my buckeye bias That he is first round worthy would he go first round maybe not maybe But I think he is very very he should be high on on the boards Uh for uh GM's uh funky. What you got on McDonald thoughts It's one of you say that I had a friend who was never seen Kaden McDonald You know work out live. I've never never really seen him So he went to uh, you know, was that inside watching after the gold parents ceremony watching the The defensive lineman who are getting ready for that NFL workout with JTT and He literally thought that Kaden McDonald was Taiwan alone Until he watched the drills and while he walks it because time on the lows bigger Way bigger looks way more like okay, that's the first round defense tackle And then he watched the drills and he was like Wow wait wait that that's the first rounder right there

4:12He was I can Kaden was fluid on his fluid on his feet and his motor was at an all-time high It was you know He said it was crazy to watch it. It was crazy to see you know What a first round defensive tackle real looks like and it's came McDonald So I mean I agree I 100% agree with your first round assessment on Kaden McDonald And I'd be shocked if if you if you wasn't uh, I could probably see him you know being taken in the first 2025 picks But definitely the first round pick definitely not outside the top 50 You know high motor guys super productive the last two years an absolute monster But it's crazy because his build is you know his physique oh my I just I'm just missing his pronouncing everything today Is not as good as you know or not as good but not as like physically like with your eyes with your eyes As much as like I like Taiwan alone, but clearly we all know you know Taiwan alone not going to get drafted while Kaden McDonald was a first round draft pick But I just wanted you said that because they know that was that that really stood out To to my guy that was watching practice. He said he didn't need Kaden Curry

5:13Just looked like absolute monsters in these drills Yeah, here's Kaden. He's getting through these cones something crazy I mean his film you see the disruption The speed he's a football player I'm very in this draft obviously you've got the all-ville Reese's Caleb Downs sunny styles those are all first round locks I am very curious funky to see where these other guys go I'm going to pull up another guy to second where I'm I may be the most curious And I'm going to wait on that but wish your thoughts on Kaden Curry or your or your sources thoughts On what they saw from him like uh because to me this will be I I'll tell you what I think I think he can sneak in the late third round third to fifth round is where I can see him There might be a team I might fall in love with him to take him late in the third early fourth But I don't see him dropping no littered in a fifth. What do you think?

6:13I agree with that I agree that I don't see him dropping past the fifth round I would I don't have the notes up in front of me So I forgot exactly what I was told on the the round grade given for him But he was you know super productive player here at Ohio State and production You know you can translate really well into the NFL a lot of time For at least you know a rotational piece on that defensive line So I totally agree with the assumption that he'll be taking between those areas And I totally wouldn't be shocked if a team you know took a risk on him Just because of how much how well Kaden tests and how well You know all these Ohio State players really translate to the NFL strength and conditioning wise Yeah, for sure All right So here's the next guy I was going to go to Right here This is Davis and Ignick Nelson Like this kid to me, I don't think he got enough love For what he did here at a Ohio State I know he was handsy

7:15Although he got off of that a little more last year But he has really good numbers When when can you ever remember him getting burnt Like dang it. He getting toasted out there. He never did Exactly, bro. That's what I'm saying. He does not get enough love Am I saying he's March on latimore no But he has the size he has speed I mean he has the long arms the aggressiveness He can come up and help in a run. He's more than willing I mean he's low-key a dog But he was kind of hampered in the public's eyes By his handsiness which he did improve last year That pick against Penn State at happy valley was huge I mean Somebody in my opinion is going to get a steal no I don't think he's the first round pick But man I think somebody could pull him and latent second round early third And have a really good player you agree Well a hundred percent agree and I love that take for him being

8:17You know probably the most underrated underrated guy on the team I think that's you know absolutely the truth because I mean he was so good last year I don't know what all American team he was on But I remember correctly he was on some second or third team all American And he deserved everything a bit of it I mean you he was even I thought it was he's you know And handy problems are a little bit over exaggerated I think he got screwed on a lot of those calls to be honest with you But I think I mean I think he's a super elite player I mean because like you said he has four I think he had four you had four four six in the 40 I believe You know big wingspan Big kid You know that started Ohio State for a long time a ton of starting experience There's I just don't see how that doesn't translate into the NFL Because you're right he never got burnt he never got burnt I never really was watching a game or even on film after the you know the The few times I've watched Ohio State games like really in that way I've never don't I can't even recall one time where we looked at 80 you know

9:17I was like well that was a major screw up Besides for obviously some penalties he wasn't right He was definitely needed to work on that and everyone couldn't hit that But yeah, I mean we'll see maybe NFL teams are too scared about those hands He put a ton of handsy corner on a cornerback in the NFL There's a ton of them and I feel like that's an I'm not not the worst issue because the B-hansy you have to be in the right places at the right times So he was criminally underrated that that it's a great take Eddie was one of my favorite players to watch here at Ohio State Just I mean you were just super super solid and that's really as a cornerback That's really hard to be because you if you mess up as like the cornerback Every single person knows right like As does no work. Yeah, as does a bird his people's opinion You end up being like a legit NFL starter in Ohio State fans wanted to You know kill him at the stake after that organ game because he just you know It was one step behind a few too many times

10:17Yeah, that was brutal, but like that's all work even last year was like, you know, in great corner I'm like baby One of the best man-on-man cornerbacks in this year's draft. I definitely see him being I mean I would take them in the second round And my bias when it comes to these NFL draft fix. Yeah, usually usually I'm a little a little bit overzealous on them But I me trying to be a reasonable person definitely sees him between you know picks 50 and 70 Yeah, so you're like you know the bottom of the second top of the third round I mean Yeah, I'm gonna miss Eddie and I think we'll really see it this year With this new cornerback room because obviously you have germane Matthews Who's been you know very good with us for you know a few years now. He'll be uh He'll you know be up And I thought player next year. Yeah, that's I think since last year eligibility's next year which is crazy I'm getting I feel like I'm getting old and then obviously tevin santa is going to softmer here He and he has something to prove to Buckeye nation and I absolutely believe in him

11:17And I'm excited to watch and play so but I mean I'll be fun to see what you know them two boys do out there And obviously of those those safe that safety bunch with no or a little and Terry Moore and obviously you got a Shoot What I remember Well, I've been a little bit of a roker. You got a McClean McClean germane. Yeah, McClean. Oh my I was like I'm like how they forget the only Ohio State kid on the team But yeah, obviously McClean McClean was super solid last year So I definitely have confidence in them, but just gonna be different when you lose guys like Iggy and Caleb and Lorenzo all the same draft costs It is but we lost a lot last year too and And just reloaded so Hoping for that same type of energy this year, but here's this pf f numbers Iggy 30% completion rate allowed zero TDs allowed five force incompletions 18.8 pass rating allowed Yeah, he was definitely good. He just to me The the handiness is is kind of clouded our

12:20our appreciation for him as a as a collective fan base in my opinion and so And I just real quick showing a clip of Julian Thullen, you know Pretty dimes to Carnell Tate Who said he's the best route runner in the draft which I wouldn't bet against that um, I mean Super clean Look how he catches the ball. I mean Anyone watching film any football guy analyst And look I mean saying just I'm I love how sanestone These balls in front of these NFL gms given him a early peak Uh, and then of course reminding our fans that he's still pretty good and he's going to be even better this year Wish your thoughts on Carnell Tate you think he is top 10 you think he'll drop he's going first round But do you think he'll slip out of the top 10 It's gonna be I mean I I don't think so. I don't think you'll slip out of the top 10

13:23I think the the bait is maybe between who takes them in the top 10 Because I can see him going a lot of different places Um, yeah, but I mean it's it's interesting. I'm definitely interested in a NFL prospect not as sure fire as Arvel sunny or Caleb in my opinion, but I definitely think that Carnell is the best Yeah, probably the best why receiver in this year's draft especially, you know Jordan Tyson with the being a gigantic question mark with his injuries and he's like Still dealing with injuries, which I find odd or or just odd just the standpoint as I thought it was a little less serious Then it actually is turning out to be uh, then lemon from USC is you know definitely a star definitely a superstar Got a watchman person quite a bit of times just um Yeah, I mean definitely a great great player. It'll be interesting to see um Yeah, what's interesting to see how well you know who drafts them and where where he gets taken but

14:25Well, yeah, I just don't have too much. I have a little bit of a clue But I'm gonna keep it to myself for now of where you know car now might be taken But it definitely definitely a an open buck and I'm excited to watch car now be you know taken high up in the first round Yeah, for sure. I know you got some more heat coming for that so we'll hold off But lastly before we get to um Spring practice stuff arvelle Reese r-a-o Reese in my Gus Johnson boys. Look at his dude GM's teams drooling over him Will he escape the clutches of the New York jet? I don't think you will What do you think funky do you think arvelle Reese slips out of the top five? I mean man There's It's gonna be interesting. There's definitely I can guarantee you that there's gonna be two buck eyes taken in the top five and I mean, I'm leaning towards possibly three buck eyes taken in the top five

15:26Wouldn't that be a record for us or for what when we match the record if that happens Um, what when do we have three buck eyes taken until five Well, I know we've never done I thought just so I say back in the 70s we have three I don't know. I don't mean to put you on the spot. I figured that out But yeah, I thought we I can remember two multiple times if I can't remember three Um, yeah, I do think we get three um the team at five is gonna take a buck eye and the team at two is gonna take a buck eye and Yeah, and the there's gonna be teams trying to get the four to take a buck eye So that that that that's my that's my early take I think buck eyes go two four or five in the draft Okay, we're gonna see man. I'm excited for these boys Didn't pull up Caleb downs. He he did a few things didn't do a ton But he's a stud and he's going high and I can't wait to see where he goes because he's gonna be a dog wherever he goes

16:32Um, Kazmeric clear Those are all NFL guys Kazmeric is not gonna go high But I think he's gonna be a 10-year vet. He he was really good blocking He's a better receiver than some think And I think he's gonna be a really good physical blocking titan for somebody And um, yeah, just another crop of really talented players Funky and we'll we'll keep covering this stuff like I said, Funky has some more heat coming He's been going crazy on the scoop board with the nuggets lately And so speaking of that let's transition To the topic at hand inside massive breakout stars during spring practice Slash a little bit of recruiting and I always look for excuses to pull up Certain kids films one of those kids is legend Bay. That's not who we're going to talk about today But whenever you say that name. Oh Pull up the film because it's just fun to watch here's another kid who I'm going to pull him up as uh

17:33I'm gonna have funky talk about him a little bit Um, you know, and then we'll kind of get into some spring practice stuff Funky what you got Yeah, so as early reported David, you know, David had his visit scheduled with Ohio State on May 28th 29th that weekend And then I was able to report that they're pushing that visit Up for you know up forward a week due to just having wanting to have the entire family In town the following week to be able to you know tend as official visit But I was informed yesterday that they're moving back the visit to the original time the original visit time So obviously the visits in the season it's very fluid. So um, yeah, by expect David to be on the official visit Ohio State May 28th weekend whatever that weekend is and yeah, it should be a fun time I know he's looking forward to it Uh, Carlos Locke was recently able to make a trip to Canada to visit with him and his family And I mean all signs are pointing towards the buck eyes on this one and I'm very excited to see him on campus

18:38But in light may and It's gonna be fun time. He's an absolute stud absolute stud his quarterback this year. I believe is gonna be Uh, a manning of pain manning's kid. I believe this is starting quarterback for his High school. I forget if it's his if he's like I don't know if he's a manning is gonna be the quarterback Like you know this upcoming season or if he's still too young But at Baylor High School in Tennessee, but I think it might be the manning so he might just get the you know The world press on him this year Which is would be amazing amazing for obviously gg. Because Ohio State's gonna be you know competitive on all fronts And that does include an a l as keep this guy that I mean I super freak one of the better running back prospects ever to come out of high school Everyone saw that stat line. He had you know first real opponents last year the seven touchdowns games like 500 yards seven touchdowns That I mean that it was absolutely ridiculous and we've been you know Absolutely in love with this kid for multiple years now It's been Carlos Lachlan's first call that every new stoppiece had for the last you know four or five seasons

19:41So Carlos is gonna get this one done and you know get this Canadian kid that's now in In the state of Tennessee to join the buckais and I'm really pumped up I got the pleasure of you know meeting with them to talk with them that the the Texas game with you be actually And it was just a great kid great family and they loved being up Texas game And I can definitely see them making it making it to a more Ohio State games this fall and hopefully he's a It'll Ohio State commit by then because he is looking to commit Uh, he just you know as a good family behind on the one and make sure that they're you know making uh One final decision and not couldn't be you know Popping around like some other kids are so but I definitely expect them to you know You're about guy when it's all said and done just you know long waiting out it's still March Yeah, hopefully Lachlan can get him locked in Soon this dude is a beast He's the the best overall running back prospect that I think we've

20:42You know pending that we get him Have had and in a while like just the most complete back speed vision physicality Breakaway speed uh, I mean everything you won't you want in a back uh breaks tackles. I mean he's already I mean the vision is elite already And so I'm super excited about this kid y'all know I've been saying is so I definitely wanted to have an excuse To pull up his highlights Because yeah big big fan. So with that said let's move on to the next Parts of the the nugget and so actually as you kind of touch. I want you to touch on um, you know JTT He was at practice, uh, you know working with uh, you know that everyone was here for the pro day and stuff like that And to support the buck guys, but a JT 2-1 low-ow Was there working with Larry Johnson, you know and uh can you out of Jackson was working with the new

21:44Coach that we got which I meant to bring this up yesterday But I'll bring him up on the screen. This can kind of be a combined thing funky talk about that and also the new Defensive line of past rushing Google we just scooped up um yesterday The defensive line has been you know a family for a long time here under Larry Johnson and I believe that Of you know Bruce Thorne and actually set it best leading up to the mark 9th game. He was really asked you know Why Ohio State and why for four years and he was like I think that later in life Me being able to call Columbus home and having a second home is more important than anything else And he's that thing. I'm gonna preach. I don't like he's I don't know if I fully appreciate it right now But he said well, I know when I'm older that's I'm fully gonna appreciate and I bring that up because I mean you see JTT Who you know has zero ties to the Midwest really? I mean yeah He grew up in Washington his entire life

22:45Is you know a Hawaiian kid and But now he comes back to Ohio and the you know the beginning of spring you know late winter To be at the pro day and work out with Larry Johnson and help out with the guys who's trying to you know prep for the NFL As JTT really preps for his You know maker break season maker break season obviously, but you know his you should you know have a bigger role This year with the Colton you know, he struck it a little bit last year hit a few DNPs Well, you know coaching decisions So hopefully he gets in the field a little more and he knows he needs to prove himself a little more and really just to the NFL style That big physical style to be NFL which I mean, I fully believe JTT will do just you know, yes It's a learning curve So but the fact that he's out there and he's here helping out and learning and working out with these other Future NFL guys on the buck guys was was great to see great to see just because he You never know how players relationships are with Ohio say after they graduate a lot of them

23:45You know a lot of them tell just never see you Ohio sit again never show up back again and others Constantly show up and you love the ones that constantly show up and you're happy that they feel welcome to you're in Columbus so it's great to see and Yeah, the higher the defensive line higher. I'm forgetting his name, but he's known as the like the past rush specialist. You got a joke Jim joke You know, one of Nick Sabin's favorite the you know defensive line coaches that he's ever had there at Alabama So it was great to I mean when I saw the higher. I really didn't know much about him But then people are like, you know seven striped black belt Like champion and all this stuff and that made me excited because obviously Ohio State Could use you know use some past rush if you have one One hiccup with the buck I can defense last year probably saved up a past rush There's times where we would have liked a little more disruptive past rush and with obviously work Yeah, the hiring coaches to try to fix that this year So I'm I'm very excited for this new hire and

24:50Can you audit Jackson was you know working I heard for like 40 50 minutes after practice with him and Matt Patricia To you know really get after it and this is Matt Patricia's guy This is absolutely Matt Patricia's guy because this guy Joe was also loved by Bill Bell check and he was in New England I believe at the same time as Matt Patricia. So this is you know a bellicic Sabin just Grew coach that you never really saw behind the scenes guy that you know made the magic happen a lot So I'm definitely excited to have him on campus and we hired another defensive line coach I believe just read just within the hour I forgot his name, but it's posted on the board And that was a or coach that was a pit for stealer defensive line coach So Ryan Davis you know snags to NFL coaches from the tree tops just to add to our already loaded NFL coaching staff Yeah, just pulled it up. Let me see Um his name is coach Jason Brooks Coach Jason Brooks. Yeah, yeah, from the pit of lies. Richless has worked with the Steelers last three seasons. Okay

25:54Yeah, I didn't see that because I obviously Well, that was posted earlier, but I didn't see it till now. So good. Look it out on that. That's breaking news to me I mean bringing all the assistants Bring them all in with the new rules all the specialists. I love that this joke him do Is a freaking what seven time seven time black belt taekwondo do I mean Sabin swears by him bring him in man. It's all good. Let's do it all right, and then also We're just touching a few other things with the nugget and actually funky You take the lead on this what's what's the next Thing the biggest part of this update that you feel a significant that you want to you want to go over we already touched on The D-line stuff obviously we've been talking crazy about legend bay um, you know and his ability let's touch on that real quick about legend bay and not just hey He's gonna be really good But what the staff is doing with him

26:55Yeah, I mean as we know we have Arthur Smith Here in Columbus, which is you know a major Upgrade over Brian Hartlein as you know an offensive play caller and as you know that role as you know Brian Hartlein was stepping into it You know as a first-time play caller while Arthur Smith has been NFL head coach in Done at the highest level for multiple teams for years and years and years So he's been creating new concepts especially between the running backs and not just running game concepts But you know using the running games they're sorry using the running backs in the passing game So that's been a major focus this spring ball seemingly for the buck eyes really getting you know turbo Rogers and legend bay out there, you know running routes catching balls Even moving them that the purple and legend have both done work as slot receivers to this spring So the buck eyes are they have two and you know freakishly fast running backs and freaky athletic running backs

27:55On the team are and they're really you know taking advantage of it I have a funny story that I've been posted about this what so turbo Rogers was catching. I believe it was like um An outrown or you know something towards the sideline and you're supposed to kind of just run it up sideline and run out running out of bounds like you're not really you're not really supposed to like you cut it in but of course legend You know cuts it in thinking you know he's still in high school where you kind of be a little you know Yeah, you know high school you're you're cutting that back you're cutting everything back up the field and you're trying to break it for 80 a hundred yards At a time but in college, you know that stuff doesn't really slide. You're gonna get smacked in the face or get stripped or you get the ball punched out and you're trying to cut everything back inside and like a legend cut it back inside and the person that was watching him said he was like Yeah, man when legends did that like you can feel like the uh you can feel like the the ten city the ten city of the the practice you can feel it to you can feel a tension Like everyone thought like he's like I thought legend was gonna die out there because Carlos just started

28:59rippin him this shred it was like they're just like and everyone knew it was going to happen too Because legend kind of got a little well the ball like You know the ball didn't look so secure kind of balled a little bit kind of flung at his arm out a little bit when he's kind of Get back up the field and like yeah, the Carlos was not having it. He had been right day got a little piece of it not the end too Oh, yeah, they said that that was a or I'd say hi they they brought it up. So I guess a highlight of fact is just watching, you know Legend, you know, obviously they have high expectations for this kid giving him the number two and lining him up everywhere and giving the ball having him catch the ball up in space Oh, they haven't done any really stuff. I've not been told that they've been doing any special TV recently I was told they didn't do do it any last-fact is so I wasn't sure who was kick returning or Pot returning or any of that stuff But I assume he's in the working with that group as well I mean as long as he keeps the ball and not fumbling because as we know Well, we can't have running backs who fumble here. It'll have a state. So right, but um

30:00The thing that's like at sex vacation and we all know that so And there's a reason why they don't it's because they get coached hard So it's exciting. So that was fun. You're watching the legend, you know Get you know get rid of you better chill young fella like we love you, but you better you better chill Lacklin is going to rip your head off every chance he gets because he believes in you Exactly. Get you prepared. He knows that you can be a dog, but you got to be disciplined and so love the tough love I saw that side love there by the way. I thought that was what it's about. I guess not not at all Now real real quick before we move on. I wanted to pull this pickup because when I saw it when I was scrolling I was like dang Brady Edmunds is towering over Ryan Day I know Ryan Day is not no super tall dude But have you seen Brady Edmunds in person like next have you stood next to him and is he as tall as he looks in this dag on picture I have and yes, Brady has he's always been a super Paul kid

31:01Um, he does look awfully tall in that He looks like a war fine. Yeah, I'll definitely get out there and watch him His senior year Uh, uh, Brady's been making great strides this off season I haven't even wrote about that much, but he's been making great strides this off season It was getting little injuries his junior junior high school So, you know, had some mishaps and he doesn't play for the, you know, the best high school in the country And he's in, you know, pretty tough division here in Southern California But he's been showing out on these camps and seven on seven circuits as of recent and definitely happy for the kid And just hope, you know, he keeps up the good work and can continue, you know, pressing them, you know Pressing his work ethic and being ready because he wants there's no one that he wants to be a buckeye more than Brady Edmunds So there's no one that wants to be, you know, the next he's been Quarterback year starter here multiple multiple years starter here than he he does So he's been working his ass off to do so because as we all know about take some A ton of work just, you know, obviously we know that I'm not I'm not saying anything that no one doesn't know it takes an absurd amount of work

32:07And some luck too So he's gonna be, you know, I'm glad that he's working hard. He's having some success because he's he's looking like how he was You know, freshman sophomore year now or obviously with improvements by mean like on top of his class Because he's looking like the best quarterback here on the west coast, which is what he what he is He's the best quarter he should be in the best true pocket passing quarterback In the west coast plus Arizona Nevada, Oregon really up until you get to like the south I do think Brady's the best quarterback out of that group of you know that bunch big arm too big arm Oh, yeah, the best in the nation. Yeah, so yeah, I love kids who who love to be at a house date for sure All right, so let's um couple other things before we move to superchats This this was a Outstanding post just a lot of great stuff in here But before we get to the last one on which I feel like is the highlight. Well, it that's debatable But I feel like it's the highlight

33:07I wanted to touch on A little bit about where is it at? Yep, so site clear tavy on site clear You know from all types of angles hearing that he's really looking Like the part like as far as confidence and The the clear number two like you know like they believe him in him He's he's doing everything he's supposed to do in practice. He's leading looking good throwing the ball He threw the ball today at pro-day. Well all that stuff What's your thoughts on the portion on the nugget about tavy on st clear funky? Yeah, I mean, I was even believing in tavy and talking about a kid who wants to be a bar kind wants to be up A lot of state star is david.
