Orioles' Basallo Makes History with ABS Challenge

Samuel Bistallo just made baseball history as the first big leager to seal a win with

a successful challenge from the automated ball strike system.

The 21-year-old Baltimore catcher did it in the top of the ninth against Texas, locking

down an 8-3 victory for the Orioles.

when the ump caught a ball on a pitch, hugging the upper.

Bistallo hit the challenge button, replay confirmed it as a strike, and the game was

over just like that.

who tossed three strong innings for his first save since two.
