Labor won the South Australian election, but one nation made a huge splash with more than a 20% primary vote that put them ahead of the Liberals. Just as polls had predicted in the lead-up, party leader Pauline Hansen celebrated the surge with supporters in Adelaide. Hansen had a pointed message for the new premiere, Peter Malanowskas. She warned him about the challenges ahead from one nation's fresh faces in Parliament. Supporters packed the election night party in Kentown, cheering every update on screen. The mostly older crowd in Orange Gear went wild for Hansen and Bernardi's appearances. Folks raved about her personally, with some citing lower immigration as a draw, but excitement ruled the night. People's like YouGov and NewsPull had one nation at 22%, topping Liberals at 19 and 16.
