We are Alex. How are you? Bravo. Thank you. We are at RSA conference. I mean the booth is packed. Everybody is getting their storage keys here from you. We are at the Swiss bid booth. And tell us a little to you and how you decided to get this company going. Absolutely. So my name is Alex Samera. I am the head of authentication within Swiss bid and we run a storage business and security business and we are a hardware manufacturer and develop these products by ourselves. Innovation is our main feature. So we have basically quite a number of innovation but we have an portfolio and this is what we want to showcase today at the RSA conference which is a very important conference for us. We made a lot of clients here, partners and we are very
happy today to be at the RSA conference with you. Perfect. Well I am happy to have you as well. So give me the overview of the company and we will dive into some of the new things you bring into the light here today. Absolutely. So we are now 25 years in the business. We started this storage device products. We have industrial memory devices for airplanes, cars and we built this in high quality, this industrial crate. And 10 years ago we started with our security business which is primarily about file security keys and hardware security devices what we have built in in cashier systems. Here at the RSA conference we primarily offer our file security keys, the iShield key which is one of the most innovative products in the space of authentication today. Got it. So what are some of the challenges organizations have, presumably sell primarily into the enterprise and need to be, right? Yes, absolutely.
So the big challenges they face with respect to authentication. Simply it is fraud. So you know I mean there are so many attacks going on now and you know companies cannot produce anymore because they are getting attacked by the attackers. And we try to bring a solution to the market which is really hindering these attacks by hardware security key. So security on highest level and try to simplify the processes with our products so that customers are satisfied on the usability and also on security so that attackers don't have any chance to attack the companies. So it is all about the experience making it super difficult for the attacker, the bad actor and super easy for the end user. So give me some examples of fraud and other attacks that organizations face, that the typical solutions can handle and or other offerings kind of get in the way as opposed to clearing the deck for users
to succeed with their tasks. Absolutely. So basically most of the login processes are password-based or one-time password-based and these are not fashion resistant. What we actually built here are products which are phishing resistant. They use FIDO as a protocol which is basically a FIDO align standard which is widely adopted now in the market. So many service support is already and our FIDO key is plug and play. So this is the usability that users can easily log in with the device. They don't have to remember any passwords anymore and it's very secure because it's phishing resistant so a hacker cannot fish any passwords or one-time passwords in the online channel. Yeah, it's a physical device. Physical device. So how do you bring your solution to the business? Who do you usually speak to and what is there an event or an activity where they say yes? Alex, we really need your help. Yeah, so basically we work with partners and distributors and resellers to support end customers with deployments.
So basically we have across the globe partner networks which are engaging with end customers and if a customer needs an enrollment with FIDO keys, what we offer, we actually engage with our system in the greatest and resellers to provide these keys. And if this is in the yes, if this is somewhere in the apex or somewhere in the middle east or in Europe, we can handle this through our partner network and we can supply very quickly through our supply chain. So give me some examples of customer success stories. Maybe some use cases where they worked with you and your team, maybe through a partnership or a distributor and accomplish something that they weren't able to do otherwise. Yes, so we have a couple of customers already. They use a FIDO key and a combination with a very important use case. So the physical access being able to open doors and gates. And you have this usually in an enterprise environment quite often. So what do we do? We have a FIDO key, you know, a FIDO key is today to log in on computers to be on the safe side
and it becomes so online security, but the same key is getting used to physical access. And this combination makes it really compelling for enterprises trying to secure all the processes including physical access. We are the first vendor on the market providing this combination of physical and logical access in one device to just tap the key on the door and the door is opening. And with this key, we have already quite a bunch of customers who are using this on a daily basis for the various use cases and formally if we talk about universities, healthcare environments and manufacturing environments. They have both use cases and Swiss but is the only provider today who can actually solve both use cases with this kind of hardware security key. And so you integrate with whatever access control systems that be a physical or digital, right? So we partner with HID which is a quite large brand, especially in the US, quite a portion of, you know, facilities support HID readers. And we are the first vendor in the market coming up with a key which is supporting HID sales.
And this is quite, you know, leveraging a lot of use cases. And beside HID, we support also other standards, you know, like my fair, we are NXP partner, the HID partner, and we are also partnering with many, many dollars of readers and manufacturers. So basically, this is enabling our portfolio quite heavily, huh? So it's a plug key for systems and tap for buildings and possibly even some, I'm thinking medical devices, right? Some of them. So tap as well? Yes, you tap and go, tap and go. So here at the conference, a lot of different people. You have practitioners, you have security leaders, you have CSOs, message to folks who may not have heard of SwissBet yet. And maybe a call to action for them to connect with you here. Absolutely. So you might heard about the PCO-C, POS Quantum crypto. It is a time race, you know, like by when, you know, the standard algorithms are getting, you know, hacked.
Right. It was POS Quantum computers. SwissBet has the first POS Quantum secure file security, so we have basically here at the booth already samples, which implement a PCO-C chip alongside with the, you know, standard chip. So we can support the PCO-C already. We have implemented FIDO on it, so you have a PCO-C enabled for the server. Then you can use our photo key right away, plug and play. And the same device is supporting, you know, the classical chip, so it supports still all the use cases like physical access, you know, and all applications which, you know, rely on all the standards. And this combination is really unique, SwissBet is the only company supporting this. So you can upgrade to PCO-C with the very same device you can still support the legacy. Okay. Give me the scenario of what that transition looks like when crypto is quantized.
And, yeah, compromised by quantum. Yeah, I mean, with your key, what happens? Yeah, I mean... Is it seamless or what do they have to do? No, I mean, if you have not a quantum secure, you know, crypto processor, there's a chance that you, you know, I mean, in the challenge response protocol, what you usually use on the authentication, there's a chance that you can basically, you know, access protocol. And with a key supporting PCO-C, you can mitigate this risk quite heavily. The thing is, if you don't have PCO-C, there's always a risk. So you have to upgrade two devices with such kind of chips. And if you have the PCO-C chip, it's seamless. So the process is still the same. The algorithm is a different one, but it's actually pros quantum secure.
