One Battle After Another Wins Big at Oscars

One battle after another took home the most awards at the 2026 Oscars, grabbing six out of its 13 nominations during the ceremony. On Sunday, March 15th, at the Dolby Theatre in Los Angeles, the big wins included Best Picture, Best Director for Paul Thomas Anderson, Best Supporting Actor for Sean Penn, Best Adaptive Screenplay, and Best Film Editing. Centres came in right behind, with four victories from a record-breaking 16 nominations. Michael B. Jordan won Best Actor. Autumn Duroud Archipel made history as the first woman to take Best Cinematography, and the film also earned Best. Original Screenplay and Best Original Score. Frankenstein picked up three awards and technical categories, like Best Costume Design, Best Make-Up and Hair Styling, and Best Production Design. Other films, such as Marty Supreme, Sentimental Value, and Hamlin, also got multiple nods, but fewer wins overall.
