Oklahoma Sooners Secure Home Win, Boost NCAA Hopes

It marked their third straight victory and avenged a close overtime loss to the Tigers back in January. The Sooners improved to 16 wins and 14 losses overall and 6-11 in conference play while Missouri fell to 2010. The key to the win was Oklahoma's hot shooting from beyond the arc, hitting 12 of 22 three-pointers for 55 percent. They also shot over 60 percent from the field overall. Multiple players stepped up with multiple threes and the team for 16 turnovers from Missouri, who struggled at just 33 percent from. Deep, down low, Oklahoma held its own despite Missouri's size edge, outrebounding them 28 to 26. Points in the paint were nearly even at 28 to 26. Senator Muhammad Weigu added 11 points and 7 boards, his fourth straight double figure scoring game.

It boosted their NET ranking from around number 62, but experts still see slim odds for an NCAA tournament at large bid. To change that, Oklahoma needs a road win at Texas and a deep run in the SEC tournament next week in Nashville, where they'll fight to build momentum, heading into the postseason.
