Oilers Trade for Defense, Draft Pick; Fans React

The Edmonds and Oilers are bolstering their lineup for a deep playoff push with two trades from the Chicago Black Oaks. They added defensemen Conor Murphy for a stronger back end, and forwards Jason Dickinson and Colton Dock for some depth up front. In return, they sent out Ford, Andrew Mangapane, plus their 2027 first round draft pick. Dickinson's loved the Murphy deal since he offers the reliable defense the team has lacked. The second trade draws more heat though. Dickinson and Dock are solid bottom six guys, but do not score much, and giving up a high draft pick feels like too much, especially just a clear cap. Space.
