Oilers Acquire Dickinson, Murphy for Stanley Cup Push

The Edmonton Oilers pulled off a key trade on Wednesday, March 4th, grabbing forward Jason Dickinson and Colton Doc from the Chicago Black Hawks. In return, they sent forward Andrew Manjapanet and a conditional first round pick in the 2027 NHL draft. Dickinson stands out as the big get, a reliable shutdown center, to shore up Edmonton's leaky defense, which has been one of the league's worst at, preventing goals. Earlier this week, the Oilers also dealt a 2028 second round pick to Chicago for veteran defensemen Conor Murphy. These moves scream, win now mode.
