So join us as we share our hot takes on things that don't really matter, because it's fun to have opinions. Let's list! Let's list! Welcome back guys! Today we are doing top five national days. We are talking about like the ones where it's like National Squirrel Day, National Book like a dog day, National Throw Your Short Friend Day. These are just silly days that bring a little bit more whimsy into every single day of the year. And the thing is that there's some major holidays. We love the major holidays, but they are too few and far between. And we need some silly days to like mix it up in between them. So that's where presenting you with a couple ones that we think are good for that. So in number five, we have National Cook Something Bold and Pungent Day. This is a real day celebrated on November 8th guys. And here's the thing, this is just a national holiday for something that people do regardless. Especially if you live in stone.

That there are people, we walk in, it's a nice open floor plan. I can tell that somebody decided to celebrate National Cook Something Bold and Pungent Day. They sell it on a little early, but with tilapia, so they nailed it. It encourages creativity in the kitchen. You know, getting a new life skill. Yeah, cook some curry up. And in number four, we have National Dinosaur Day. And June 1st, we need to pay for some respect for those who have come before us. We are like the new and upgraded species of the earth, but like they are the mighty who fall in brothers. Yeah, exactly. And really, this is a school where we're all about our Western heritage. If you think about it, hard enough, dinosaurs are just our everything heritage. Our Western heritage. Our founding fathers are the loss of raptors. So moving right along, we have number three is Gorilla Suit Day. This is again a real day celebrated on January 31st. And you know, you'll know who is actually a national day, respecter based on those of them who are wearing Gorilla Suit. You can't be like low-key celebrating National Gorilla Suit Day. You either are or you aren't celebrating this holiday and I love that.

Also, it's just like celebrated at the school every time since and has a walk down to anything, which is kind of glorious. Since then shows up to an event, dude, it is National Gorilla Suit Day. Next is National Squirrel Appreciation Day celebrated on January 21st. And here's the thing about this day is that like, okay, we like squirrels. They're okay. But I think that National Squirrel Appreciation Day being a thing necessitates a National Squirrel hatred day, which I'm even more on board with. Yeah, especially if you go to Hillsdale, you know, we have like our campus is overrun rampant. They run rampant. They have too much power. I think when I lived in Oldton, I walked up that hill trudging up there to classes. There was this one oak tree where I think a certain squirrel, I don't know what I did to him or someone close to him. But he, with perfect aim, would nail a chestnut, like just nail me in the head with a chestnut. Like every day we had a street going, I can't retaliate. My hand eye coordination is not that good. So I was just helpless. It was me, the squirrel and the squirrel won every time.

You know, you're humiliating that is. I think that like freshman year is really the year where you realize how bad the squirrels are. Because I'm telling you, I would like walk the class and there would be squirrels. And I would be like, oh, I'll get close to them and they'll like run away. They never did. I have a fear of squirrels. I was attacked by squirrels. I was a kid at my grandma's house because she said, hey, go feed these squirrels. Here's a little treat for them. Yeah, you know what? You know what? Treat the squirrels wanted. It was me. No, that's the thing with squirrels is that they have no fear. Like a chipmunk. It'll scurry right away from you as soon as it hears you coming. A squirrel will run at you. It will get right up close to personal. And my grandma would be really mad at me if I didn't mention this. But the squirrels at her house have been demolishing all of her like outside decorations. She has like little like felt dolls and stuff on the porch. And they have been shredding them and stealing the inside. Not okay to make their nest. And that's to the list of grievances. Yeah, we're over squirrels. Anyway, moving right along to number one is national play the recorder day on March 15th. And here's the thing. I have qualms with the fact that the recorder is just used as a gateway instrument.

Why are the facts? No, it's ridiculous. Why is the recorder introduced to you as a first grader in music class? And you play it for like two days to like learn about like notes and music and stuff. And then you never see a recorder again in your entire life. We need more awareness and respect for it. And if you want to join us, me and Shavon have recently purchased tiny little like toy recorders from Walmart. Guys, they were like $1.25. Join the movement. This is our next one. Yeah, they're pocket size, they're backpack sized. Now for a quick recap. In fifth place, we had national cook something bold and pungent day. In fourth place is dinosaur day. In third was gorilla suit day. Second is a national squirrel appreciation day followed by middle term national squirrel hatred day. And in first place is play the recorder day. Objectively the best day. Objectively the best day. You know what, we're not saying we're totally right, but we are saying we're objectively correct. Probably. On radio free hill sale 101.7 FM. Bye.
