Now Rogers faces a big decision on whether to keep playing or retire, leaving the Steelers to think ahead no matter what. Experts like Luke Easterling from Athalon Sports see Pittsburgh grabbing LSU quarterback Garrett Newsmeyer in the third round of the 2026. NFL draft as part of that planning. Newsmeyer shown in his junior year at 2024 with 4,052 yards, 29 touchdowns and 12 interceptions.
