I will go for my nap!

I wish I could nap.

It's impossible for me to take it.

I literally cannot.

I have to be about to die in order.

I think in my adulthood, I can probably count the number of naps I took on one hand.

One!

Yeah, the more you know.

Yeah, and even as a child, I didn't really nap all that well.

We had nap time in kindergarten, and I don't know what it says about me,

and I can remember the exact two times that I nap,

but I took exactly two naps in kindergarten.

Whoa!

Yeah, I was really bad at naps as a kid,

because I was just like, I had like the fomo of like, something's going to happen,

and I'm like, we'll see it.

But I feel like, I don't know, just in this season of life, my brain and my body are just like,

we go take a nap, and I'm like, that's okay.

But yeah, I go through like waves of it, I think actually as an adult,

because in college, I really wasn't good at napping,

but then like, I've had seasons of napping and seasons of non-napping and learning about myself.

I see.

There's like, most days, especially like on the weekends,

because you actually have the time for it, but like, I'm always like,

I could use a nap right now.

I know I won't be able to.

Sometimes, if I like really need one, I'll like,

close my eyes and listen to an episode of Go My Girls.

I don't fall asleep, but then like, what I consider.

I do that sometimes though, where I'm just like, okay,

we're not, the goal isn't to nap, it's to rest.

Like if my brain is going too far, that's like my trip with that.

It's like, okay, we're just resting, and sometimes I'll like, I'll put it like,

ha ha, gacha.

Like I tricked myself with the ticket and then.

There you go.

It's so funny.

I know.

I was just talking between, I'm gonna say it for my 2%,

but doing my 2% today, or my nap,

and I was like, I really actually prefer to do the 2%,

I'm trying to decide if I should do it now,

but I feel like it's too late.

We'll get there.

Anyway, you tell me your ketchup.

I always, I feel like I have a 2%, I've like planned up.

My brain's like, say it.

What we love for some reason here,

but I love every time we're in love.

Like, no, it's a big mystery.

Yeah.

But, yeah, I'm like trying to decide where to start,

because like, opening the curtain a little bit,

it's been like a month since I recorded it.

Yeah.

Just because like, we've had a lot going on.

So I'm like, I was so much to tell me.

I'm excited.

I'll go through, I'll like chronological it.

Yeah.

So I went, this was like,

it was close to a month ago now,

but I went to this adult book fair,

because I think when I texted you the bedazzled book,

I think you thought I did that.

Yes, yes, yes.

I bought it from someone.

So that was not me.

She loved it.

I really wanted to get into it.

Like, I went to the one workshop

and I haven't finished my book,

but she's so talented at it.

I'm really pretty.

It's so pretty.

It was people me done vacations.

Yeah.

If you know, you know.

And you know,

And you know, yes, so yeah, it was fun because there was a whole bunch of vendors and it was like

at this like bar place, but it had like a ton of outdoor seating, but oh my gosh, we were having

like it wasn't tornado level winds, but we were having just like really, really intense winds

and I just felt bad for all the vendors like trying to keep all of their stuff down,

yes, and it was blowing everywhere, and I know you probably think I've been in that vendor,

yeah, I literally once like stood on the tent, because I was too afraid the tent was going to

like, oh, so I'm like, you can look at the things, and I'm like way in the back,

it's like stuff, I'm like doing away, because I was like so afraid, because one person at the

event that was outside, and like they're like, they're 10 are already flown away, and it scared

me so bad, I was like, no one was going to smack by my tent, so I was like standing on it,

oh, but that's not fun though, did you get anything else from that, or the bad ad love book was

like the big trophy, it was, yeah, that was a big trophy, which rightfully so, it was kind of expensive,

but she spends like anywhere from like eight to 12 hours, making them, and I would also eventually

have a two percent, a dazzled something, something, that will be my two percent, because I want

to be a dazzled, I'm like getting into all these random things, all the crafts, I know, so far, okay,

keep going. Um, but yeah, so she, and she does like the special edition version of the book too,

so those are already a little nice, expensive little vibes, but yeah, so I was like, this is my

birthday present to myself, cute, but it was still fun browsing, and the vendor is the girl who

hosts a book club that I go to, and so it was kind of fun, like a lot of people from book club were

there, so we had to hang out a little bit, so that was really, really special, a little fun weekend.

Ooh, I love it, I love it, okay, what was the chronologically, what's next?

Oh, you can do your next update, we can like go back and forth, tennis it, ping pong it, whatever

you want to pong it, yes, I, it actually reminded me of it because it happened today, but I've been

talking about perfumes with people recently, because I don't know, I don't feel like I'm necessarily,

well, I say this, am I supposed to be in the market for a new perfume? No,

but I feel like yes, so I keep going to like either Sephora, or I had to do a return today,

so I dropped it off at Coles, and they have like this Sephora in there, and I smell like one of

the perfumes I forgot where, yes on my left, I was like, wait, where's it at?

Since you all smell, I was able to see Joyce like literally like inhaling her art,

we would jump to the spray door. Also, I feel like I've already said this, but fun fact about me

is I could smell like 10 different things, but the thing I always decide to spray on myself is

the thing that I don't like, oh no, I'm not, I'm not, I'm just like lingers all day, yes, so I've

got a lot better at it over the years, but like me and Beth might work, that was always me,

I'd like sniff 90 great things, and I decide to spray one, and it'd be the thing I didn't like,

and I was like, what, why do this? I get that. I recently got a little car fragrance, and I

think in the store, I liked it, and my car was like, I cannot stay in this, but I was like, I'm not

gonna throw it away, because I'm like $5 now, and I'm like, no, right, so I like try to like

air it out, and it's a little bit better now, but yeah, I don't know, this store smells so much

different in there, I don't know what it is, right, so I feel like one of the things I have been

doing is I'm like, okay, I don't want to buy a perfume that I accidentally end up hating on

myself, so every time I like a near one, I'll like spray something different, and I'll try to like

wear it that day, just to see like, okay, does this feel like me or not, but I haven't bought

anything yet, I have a few that I like, but I can't tell because have you heard of, I was

it's Joe Malone, so I'm like that, no, they're extra nice, but I always look for the travel

size, and I feel like that's the thing I'm trying to figure out where it's like, and I'm supposed

to spray like two of these, and then like kind of create my own scent by doing that, yeah, right,

so I feel like that's my update one, because I keep smelling so different each day, and it's so

funny, but I like, I live close enough to a few places that I can kind of do that, so yeah,

and then again, if I have like a return, like an Amazon return at Coles or something,

then I'm like, okay, run it for and smell some stuff, yeah, so you know what you should try,

I did this for a few months, and my sister actually recently is trying it out, have you heard of

Scentbird? I have, see do you remember all these sponsors? Cleaker things, yeah, right?

Um, but yeah, it takes affection or no, I remember. Yeah, so my question, I was going to ask you

before I thought of this, but do you, if you have like particular notes, you gravitate towards

like it'll tell you like this profile, and it's going to hard because you order it on

mine at ships, but it is like a sample, and I think the sample lasts for a very long time,

and it's really, yeah, it's a fun way to kind of like find your signature center, like

yeah, without a breaking the bank and be like having a giant bottle, I like it. You have to

try to use up. Yeah, I never buy the full bottle pretty much, because also why, you know what I'm

saying? Like, yeah, I always just get the like travel size of the thing if I like it, and then I

use that, but yeah, so I feel like that is my more recent thing I've been trying to figure out

because I feel like I just, I don't know, I'm gravitating towards it, and plus I was talking

about it with some friends and stuff, and they were like, they're also looking for a new sense,

then we're all just like sniffing stuff, so, perfumed. So do you have like a particular like

sense that you like or notes like are you more floral or you more musky? I don't really know,

I feel like maybe more, maybe more on the like musky side, but like my current perfume that I like

is like more florally, but like I don't, but then I'm like, okay, well, maybe I want like a vanilla,

I think I just fluctuate so aggressively, that's where like the scent bird, like I left it

up, and there's like a quiz, and I'm like, okay, maybe the quiz could help with that or something,

because I feel like in my brain, the answer is like I'm more of like the musky sense, but then I'm

like, sometimes I get that, and I'm like, I don't want to smell like a tree, you know what I mean?

Where I'm like, oh, yeah, I don't know, but I think it's like with your specific body makeup,

different scents can smell different too, yeah, and that's where I'm just like,

maybe yeah, tricky, tricky, you know, so that's my update, that's what I've been up to.

Yeah, nice. So I had a birthday since we landed, do I throw you then your present?

Yes, I did, so sorry, okay, that makes it work fun, like, oh, I get a little special,

dig, go, dig, go, that was my plan.

But a little update, I got to cross off two of my spring bucket list items,

love it. So I made a carrot cake, that was really good.

So good. We'll share the pictures on our Instagram when this episode drops, and

yeah, I did the flowers bouquet exchange, which was super fun.

I made little signature cocktails, and we had a mocktail option, and everyone brought a few

different types of flowers, and then we got to make arrangements, and then they were

going to sing happy birthday, and I was like, that song is just so awkward, and I was like,

well, actually, we should do, I was just like kind of juck, I was like, we should just do the

Gilmer Girl theme song, and they were actually like, yeah, we can, and then my friend is a music

therapist, and so she was like, well, I've got a bunch of like kitty instruments in my car,

and my ukulele, and so she went down and got those, so it was kind of like the on Jimmy Fallon,

where they have little silo phone with the roots and stuff, so it was really fun.

We just had a good time, and it was very spring, very floral, so it was very cozy vibe.

I love that. Yeah, that looked like such a fun day, that cake looked so good, so, so good,

and maybe you want to carry cake too. I feel like it's just yummy. I'm so glad that was so fun.

April Kay looked so pretty. I'm sorry, what was that?

You're okay, look so pretty. Oh, thank you. There was like a little crackle in my headphones,

and I was like, I heard the video, and I was like, I don't know what she said, but thank you.

I just had to throw the flowers out last night, say it, and finally like, want one died,

but it was a pretty long time. Yeah, I love that. I'll give it to them. Yeah, but you,

what's your next thing? My next thing is I kept seeing on actually the thing I was returning,

what was the wrong size of the thing I ended up getting, which is, it's okay, it worked out though,

because I was like taller than I thought. So the thing that I've been seeing people do is do

like a tension rod in bathroom all the way to the top, like near the ceiling, and then instead of

like a bathroom shower curtain, do just regular curtains, like two regular curtains. Oh, I've

seen that. Did you do that? I did, and I really like it. That's so nice. So I have the one curtain

that goes across that is just like the regular throw water all over my bathroom one, and then I got

to bright, like bright yellow and like a good way, not in like a bad way curtains, and then I have

those on the sides. If that makes sense, if I'm describing that well at all, and I really like it,

it makes it feel very cozy. It's close to the ceiling. So that's fun. It does, it does make the room

feel taller when you do that. Yeah, I was gonna ask. That's very, that's so nice. Did you do what

like did you do a color, like a pattern? I just did like a like a brighter yellow, almost buttery

yellow style. That's so pretty. I like it. I like it. It just makes it cheering kind of summary too.

Yeah, I feel like I'm in your early 2005 site that you're just going for. Yes, did I try that

in living room and it looks grossy? Yes, I did, but it worked perfect in the bathroom. So

meant to be a bathroom. So that's my next one. Try and make it. All right, really. I love that.

Mine, we may be here for a minute because my current hyper fixation is the Artemis too. I don't

know, have you watched any of the coverage on this? No, oh, I know what you're talking about where

they there's something named after someone. Oh my gosh, no, I'm so locked in. Also, I was like in a

side. Oh, this is a side update because it's all related. So everyone here knows I don't really

go to the movies. I went to the movies this weekend because I had to see Project Hail Mary because

I read the book. Yeah, I read the book like right before and I loved it. I loved the movie. I

would like see it in theaters again. You know, it was like so long. Oh my gosh, it's amazing.

Oh, we could say her and talk about for a long time, but I don't want to like do the actual

episode. Oh, so fun. Yes, Joy, you should go see it. Yes. Any of the cozy detectives haven't.

I highly recommend it. It is like worth the hype that it's getting. It's so good. To Artemis too.

Yeah, I just bit like so locked in and it's like they're actually going to be landing like

while we're recording those, but I'm like so nervous. I was nervous to watch it because they keep

saying like, oh, this is the most dangerous part and blah, blah, blah. So I have like friends who

are going to like let me know if it goes. Okay. And then I'm going to go back and like watch the

footage. But like, so if I'm like checking my phone, it's a secret thing. Yeah, I don't really

know much about it. So I just know there's something the far side of the moon thing. Yes, yes,

okay. So Artemis too is the mission. It's kind of confusing. So that's the mission. The actual

like spaceship is infinity. And then there's like the pod where they're all in. There's four astronauts.

That's the Orion. Gotcha. And so in 2022, they sent Artemis one as like a test. There was no one

on it. This one has the four astronauts. They've been up. This is day 10 today as a recording

this. And so this is they went around the moon. So they didn't land on the moon. That's what

Artemis 3 is going to be for years. Cool. Yeah. Artemis 2, they went all the way around the moon.

That's the furthest any human has ever gone. Like no one has ever been to that far side of the

moon. And so they care all the naming, which if I tear up talking about this, I can literally

cannot talk about this without like tearing up. But one of the astronauts, his wife passed away

a few years ago. And so as like a crew, because when you're like an astronaut crew, it's not just like,

oh, we're meeting for the first time on screen together for like years and years. Like they've

been planning for this for like 10 years. So they like all collectively agreed to name this crater,

which is like a bright spot after her. Oh, the video of them like asking and requesting that

I'm like, oh my god, I can. So yeah, I've been like super obsessed. It was like I went from the

Olympics naturally, the space Artemis stuff. So that's where I've been like locked in.

I don't think it's nice. You want to get to watch that? I'll watch it after. Yeah. Yeah, I'll give

you a little updates while we're recording. I'll like be like, they made it.

But yeah, it's just like between that and like project Hail Mary. And then my favorite book last

year was also set in space. I'm like, I'm in my space era. Yeah, it's been so fun. So yeah,

that's what I've been literally obsessing about for 10 days. No, I love that. I love that. I just

kept seeing on Instagram women just like weeping. And they were like, yeah, I'm not looking for

another reason to cry. But I knew it was like a good cry, but I was just like, yeah, I'll find

out of that later. So I'll have to find out about it. And it's just it's really special because this is

the for obviously it's the furthest anyone's been, but it's also the first woman and the first

black man who has seen the moon. It's basically the moon. So that's a big deal. And like, there's

so the comms where like basically like the control room. Yeah, yeah, really filled with women.

And the last time or are they landing in their landing? Like the Pacific. Oh, okay. Yeah, so they

they launched in Florida. They're a huge NASA's based in Houston in Texas. And then they're

landing off the coast of California in the water. Oh, cool. Yeah. And so yeah, there's just like

a lot of women involved in this mission. And the last time we sent people to the moon,

like women couldn't even own credit cards. Yeah. So it's just like a really like, look how far

we've come. And like it's been 50 years since we've sent people to the moon. So just like a big deal.

Oh, that's so cool. Yeah. Okay. That's cool. I like it. I learned it out. No, I love it. I'm glad that

it was so good and positive. I just kept seeing women weeping and talking about craters. And I'm like,

I'm like, I feel like somebody named something after somebody. I'm like, I feel like that's

where this is going. But yeah, it's really special. So that makes me happy. Yeah. Any other

updates? Just one thing at a time, one day at a time, you know, let's do one little thing.

But today, it's a surprise, surprise. We're talking about 20 some minutes and it's awesome.

Unfortunately. I know. Honestly, we should do. I'll go see the movie. And then we could do for

Project Hillary like a movie versus book. How we've done that? Because I yeah, that sounds like

so fun because I think I actually would really love the book. But I also have seen people talk

about his sweater and like, doing like, making his sweater and all that. Yeah. That's so fun. All the

yeah. The book is I really like the book. It's a little because I don't really read a lot of sci-fi.

It got to a little too sciency for me at some times. I did do the audiobook. And people have said

and I knew this going into it's one of the best audiobooks because the narrator is just incredible.

He does like really good accent work. That's awesome. But you can definitely watch the movie

and get it fully without reading the book. There's a couple of like key changes. But again,

with like people we meet, I'm like, you had to do that for the timing. Yeah.

Except for one thing, they like added something in. And I was like, I get it. It tell it like pulls

the story a little bit further. But I was like, you could have like kept that out and put something

from the book. Yeah. It's fine. It was so really, really good. That's cool. But we are talking about

non-Disney princesses. So he he he. So two movies that have princesses in them but are specifically

not Disney. And I am up first. Yes. Mine is now. Yeah. You're kind of falls under that. But when it

came out. Not when it came out. Yeah. Exactly. When they first came out. Yeah. Mine is Shrek

which I'm so excited about. That's a princess. I know. Right. But is one of those movies where I feel

like it does get us telling the rest of this a little bit before because objectives. But it kind

of gives vibes of like we can talk about Lord of the Rings and everybody's like you know

in that one scene where he kicked the thing. It's like I feel like Shrek is kind of one of those

where people love it. So hardcore. They have their own specific memories and jokes and everything

with it. And so getting into the movie and the behind the scenes and doing research for this.

I got myself a little overwhelmed and just had to give myself some grace of like, okay, I do like

it. It is fun. I think what it is is that it came out in 2000 and won. I believe that's from

my memory. Yeah. 2001. So it came out in 2001 and was so groundbreaking at what it did

that I think it just kind of like that was the spark that just like started the whole kind of

the parody of everything the animated of everything in interviews. All of the main voice actors

we're talking about how like we've never seen anything like this before. And it's so

hard for me to think back to never having seen something like this if that makes sense. So

Shrek if you've never seen it or haven't are not a big animated fan. It is an fully animated

movie. And it's about Shrek who is an ogre. So the title of the movie is the main character played

by Mike Myers. He's the voice actor for that. And then there's Eddie Murphy who plays the donkey,

Cameron Diaz plays Princess Fiona, and John Lithgo plays Lord Farquad. So that's the first movie

in the main characters of that. And basically it's Shrek who lives in a swamp. He's an ogre. He's very

like prickly by nature in his personality. And then Lord Farquad has a Napoleon complex.

That is why he's a little struggling literally literally like caricatured Napoleon complex.

And it's a spoof off of all of kind of honestly like Disney movies which is funny that like I

realize when I was doing research I was like oh that's funny. It's like literally like kind of

poking fun at him. So yeah Lord Farquad ends up sending a bunch of these specifically like like

the three blind mice. And he has the like mirror mirror on the wall. And everything like that

over to Shrek because or they run to Shrek. It's like a whole thing anyway. So he has to go save

the princess played by Cameron Diaz. And I am going to say spoilers because I remember in the movie

being like but like 2001 animated movie. So it turns out at night she has a curse on her and she

turns into an ogre. And so really I would say the movie is kind of about learning to love who you

are as you are. And what that means. And so that's where this one for me is why it was like okay

Shrek sounds fun to do as like a non-Disney princess because it's Cameron Diaz. So she's in so

many of the things that we've loved in the past. Yeah. So I feel like this is kind of her era as

well which is funny because it's 2001. And so it's like this is pre the holiday. This is like

right around Charlie's Angel. Apparently she's coming out with a new wrong call. Yes. I'm so excited.

Yes. I thought she was done with acting forever. But I'm like okay I don't go see it.

Yeah right. So it's really cool. Like when Cameron Diaz was talking about Fiona as a character

her quote that I have is she's a firecracker, a spark plug. And I feel like that is really true

about Fiona. Yeah. But also about Cameron Diaz. At least also the character she plays too.

Yes. Love her. I love that she's kind of done it her own way too. You know what I mean? I

feel like it's kind of similar like just track with me for a second. But I feel like it's kind of

similar to like Hillary Duff in what she's doing now where like she had a really large moment in

time in her life. She pulled away from it. And then now she's coming back kind of on her own

terms. And I feel like Cameron Diaz is kind of doing that as well. We're obviously like she had

like at the early 2000s Cameron Diaz. I felt like was in like everything everywhere. Yeah.

And then she pulled back. And then now I'm excited to see she got it. She like had a wine label

or something. Oh, I didn't know that. Yeah. She was like a wine maker for like a long time.

Yeah. I'll try that one. But Shrek is such a wild funny ride of a movie. It is

like parody to the max when it comes to animated movies. It also was the only the fourth ever

movie made using the technique that they use. And they pulled a lot. They had proprietary

space. So it's dream works. So the proprietary equipment that they made to make the movie

ants. And basically they expanded that really greatly to make Shrek. So they had obviously ants

is like literal ants on the ground. And this was the first time they were trying to make humans

animated, which is also crazy to think that like how groundbreaking this was because I feel like

it holds up a lot more than you'd think it would. And now knowing the behind the scenes I feel

like it makes sense why it holds up. So they took three years to make it. They had right. They

had 300. They said artists and technicians is how they like phrased it in the behind the scenes

that I saw. So in making Shrek, they did it very similar to the other movies that we've talked

about in the past about how they had the muscles be real muscles. And they had, which I thought this

was really cool. So for the humans like Fiona and Lord Farquad, they did multi layer skin. And

so that's how it kind of light can reflect because it'll go down one layer of skin kind of like

you in a regular human. It would do that. But it's wild to think about that animated style.

And I think because we can do so much now with computers, it's crazy to think of how much time

effort work, love, sweat tears, like everything went into this movie. But I feel like again,

I feel like it legit really does hold up. It also won the first ever Academy Award for best

animated feature at the Academy Awards in 2002. So it was the first one ever to win a

award like that. And it also helped legitimize Dreamworks as so Shrek in and of itself was a first

of its kind. It wasn't based. I mean, it was like loosely like it had jokes of princesses and

things like that. But it was a new IP. And so it was pretty risky for the studio to make. So it

took a while to make, but it obviously kicked off the huge franchise that it is. It's in theme parks

now. It's also really funny. They just had a good new one. Is that come out yet? Oh, the fifth one.

So this is where it's interesting. So in the fifth one and actually in the first one as well,

they had Shrek looking different. So in like before the first one came out, they had Shrek

looking totally different. And it didn't play well. And so they were like, okay, let's redo this.

And I feel like kind of similarly because the people that grew up watching Shrek are the ones

that will continue to watch, like bring their kids to the next installment of it. And then the

two spin-offs of Post and Boots, which I think is hilarious, which I didn't realize they came in the

second movie. Also, Julie Andrews love her also in the second movie as the mom. I like toys about that.

I'm like, oh, that's hilarious. You love her. But in the fifth movie, it's not out yet. And I

think it's because they kind of made him to, the one where they could think was like bubbly,

if that makes sense. We're like, yeah, I kept seeing, yeah, go ahead. I was like, I kept seeing where

they have people don't like the way that they had like animated them or something. Yeah, they had

like updated it. And I don't really, that's not the update I'm looking for. You know what I'm saying?

Like, I'm here for this character. I want that character or things where I felt, I felt maybe

we talked about this already, but I felt very vindicated that I've heard rumors that in the new,

I'm going to talk about the mummy. I spent like forever talking about space. So please go ahead.

But it's like in the new mummy, they're kind of pretending that the third movie didn't happen.

And I'm like, deal because your girl didn't even see it because where's my EV? You know what I'm saying?

Like, great job on whoever played EV on that. I am sure you did a fantastic job, but like my EV,

you know what I'm saying? So I feel like it's like, yeah, no, you can't be like, that's

Shrek. I'm like, that's my Shrek. Like, stop it. We do like make him, make him real him. So

but things where I think this has water. It has lava. It has like mud. It has wind. It has all

of these things where it took so a fire like so many things that took so long to animate. But I

feel like because of the way they did it, which was crazy to watch them be like, this is a, this

is a ball at first. And then it's like bubbles. And then it's this. And then it just turns into fire.

And like, what? Like, I don't know how your brains do that, but it's so, so cool.

But I feel like also a thing that I thought was really cool. I was watching a video about it.

That's a lot of the way that I'll watch a lot of behind the scenes videos. And I recognize

someone and I'm like, he's been in the case. Why do I know him? And I looked it up. And the director

Andrew Adamson was also the director for Narnia. So he did Shrek, Shrek too. And he had done

Narnia and Chronicles of Narnia Prince Caspian. So they aligned in which the word drove

it. And then he did Prince Caspian. And I was like, Oh, that's so cool. Because it was nice to see

this group of actors also talking about him in a way of like, he really cares about the characters

and the everything. And I feel like that also was really what people had talked about him in

Narnia, which was a past case file. If you haven't watched that one, obviously love Narnia.

Could watch it any time of year. So, but I thought that was really funny as well. Because I don't

know. It's just again, case files just yeah, little connection connecting over Eddie Murphy,

obviously, hilarious in this. So good. So good in this. And there's, I saw some things that said

basically a lot of his lines were improv. And I'm like, Oh, really? Love that. I write

the tracks. It makes sense like making waffles. I just feel like they just did so. I was about to

quote. That's so good. There's so many good funny quotes in this. And I thought this was

interesting too. So Mike Myers, I guess originally just used his own voice when he was doing Shrek.

And it sounds, I don't know. It just doesn't hit in the way that the Scottish accent does. So

they like how to go back and rerecord it. Which itself I need because like, does it actually take

place in Scotland? It works so well for Shrek, like I can't picture him not having that accent. But

yeah, it's like, right, I feel like it just adds, I mean, ogres have a lot of layers. So I feel like

it adds another layer to his personality. Yeah. And it was just so funny. I don't know. I love it.

I love the not the gum drop buttons and just everything involved with it. It's hilarious. It also

has Jim Cummings in it who he's so good. He's the captain of the guards, which I'm like, I don't

really remember his specific voice in it. But obviously, we made the poem. So I feel like it's just,

it's cool to see him pop up in different things. Another case file. Yeah, I want more. Yeah. Wow,

we're getting there. We're going to just have the multiverse to like we're getting there and

everything. But yeah, I just like it. It's funny. She's a strong female character. I like that she

goes through the character arc that she does kind of learns to love herself as she is and that

she doesn't. And I kind of like that at the beginning, she has had so much time sitting there,

just waiting and thinking about what this will be like. And then it's so different that she kind of

has her own little like shock of what she thought it would be when she gets rescued. And then

this isn't specifically this case file. But I was talking to one of my friends about it because she

really likes the whole Shrek franchise. And I think it's the third or fourth Shrek that Shrek

kind of wishes that that just never had happened. And so if that one is really heavily focused

around to young as character arc, it's kind of like alternate universe vibes. But it really just

shows how strong she is as a character and how I got the end of that. He basically says like

she ended up being the one to save him. And I feel like, I don't know, I'm just like that tracks

for her. I feel like she's awesome. And I like it. It's funny. It works out. It's a good last.

It's light-hearted. It makes you giggle. Let's Shrek. Oh, so fun. Yay. Do we have any updates?

as much as the first. And I think that's a very very very very. Yeah, I was going to say this is

one where I'm like, I feel like I haven't seen them in a very long time. So I would have to watch

both of them to make this claim. But I remember at one point, I think I like the second one even

more than the first one. Well, that has posted boots in it. And he's like iconic. Yeah, like I

had to know. And now he's still like when something doesn't work on peacock, you get his face.

Really? Oh my gosh, that's so funny. And I love him. Yeah, the little it's like the like

the 404, whatever it is equivalent on the peacock app. And it's like him with the like sad,

I was like, Oh, that's so funny. Love it.

Um, so my case file is anesthesia.

One of my favorites. Um, so this is an animated movie, obviously, released in 1997.

And it was directed by Don Bluth and Gary Goldman and written by Susan Goughier, Bruce Graham,

Bob Cezarker, and Nonny White. Um, and it has such a star studded cat.

Yeah, it's crazy. I'm just realizing it right now. I'm like, what? Yeah, it's so incredible.

So it's Meg Ryan, who does the voice of anesthesia, our queen, um, John Qsac of the like Qsac family.

I did not. Yeah.

Kelsey Grammer, Christopher Lloyd, Hank Azaria, who is a Phoebe's scientist boyfriend from friends.

Hey, so good. Um, burn it up Peters, Angela Lansbury, and then young anesthesia is voiced by

Kristen Dunst or Kristen. Sorry. Yeah. So again, it's just like, I'm such an incredibly

voiced cast, which is just, I think what adds really to the quality of it. Oh, yeah.

Um, so I'm going to like, preface this and this will come up in a couple of my behind-the-scenes

things. But this movie is not historically accurate. Oh, yeah. Okay. And you want

thought it was. Unfortunately, it is not. Um, so it's loosely based off of the Roman of dynasty

and like anesthesia was technically a real person. But this is like, it's been heavily critiqued

for its inaccuracies. But I'm just like, where does it happen? Yeah. Come on now. Um, but basically

for anyone who doesn't know the plot, it starts in 1916. And so we have the Dowager on press of Russia.

And her granddaughter is in a station. So they're at this like grand ball. And she's telling

anesthesia that they'll be together in Paris. And she gives her like this lock-in and a low

music box. Yeah. Um, and then the baddie recipe, it in comes in. Um, and he's like,

technically like a zombie. I don't fully know. Yeah. He's like dead. Yeah, he's like dead, but he's

like, come back to life in this movie with dark magic or something. Um, so he's like out for

revenge on the Roman Alves. Um, and so they all like try to escape. And so anesthesia and her

grandma are separated. Um, and so she like falls and bumps her heads and ends up with amnesia.

And then their, so since they're separated, she gets put into an orphanage. And then we jump

ahead 10 years later. Um, and she's like, there's all these rumors circulating that anesthesia is

like still alive. And like the grandma's looking for her. She's going to offer a reward to anyone

who can like find her. So there's this con man demitry. And he meets on yet because he's like

trying, basically trying to find someone he can pass off as anesthesia. So he can get the reward money.

And so he sees her and they're like, they look exactly the same because you find out later on.

Again, there's going to be spoilers. In almost 30 years. I know. Crazy. I know. The premiere for this

looks awesome. By the way, I looked it up and it looks so cool. Fashion. I know. Um, but they, um,

he worked in the palace. And he was the one who like helped anesthesia and the

Empress actually like escape. Um, and so he like, oh, I think this actually is anesthesia. So

they like go on this journey to like go to France to introduce them or whatever. So that is the

plot. And I'm just going to put this out there. But however they animated demitry, he was like so

many girls like first craft. Yeah, I'm just going to put that out there. He was like, he had like

the perfect like 90s boy hair. He did. He did. So good. Um, so essentially Meg Ryan was like

the choice for the voice. Like they didn't really want anyone else. But she was like really hesitant

because she was like the Romanov dynasty has like this dark history like and this is a kids movie.

Like I don't think I want to do this. So the animators actually took a scene of also a past case

file sleepless in Seattle. And they like animated her character from that scene and showed it

to her. And she was just like so blown away that she was like, okay, I'm and I'll do it. What,

that's so cool. I know. I was like that clip. That is so right. I know. I wish it was like, oh,

I couldn't find it anywhere. Um, and so originally they had her and John like recording

their lines separately, but something just like wasn't clicking. And so they actually recorded

like together in the same booth, which I don't think that happens all that often. But I think it

really helps because one of the things that works so well with Demetri and Anya is they're like

bands where like they like they're kind of like an enemy's television. And so I think having them

record together just really helped. Yeah. Kind of like bring that up. Um, and this is also

a musical and I'll get into the like actual like stage musical in at the end, but um, they have

different singing voices, which I think is pretty common in animated movies, at least back for the

time. Um, but Demetri singing voice is Jonathan. I'm never I'm not going to say this right. It's like

the cow shit. And then Liz Callaway is the voice of Anya singing voice. So, um, and then they like

the original concept was not to do the romanos. They, uh, the directors actually wanted to do essentially

like an animated version of my fair lady. Oh, you're familiar if you've seen that movie or

anything. It's one of the ones that's on my list because it's Audrey Hepburn is the one. Yeah,

but yeah, I have actually have not seen it, but I know that the hat, I know the hat. You know what I'm saying?

Yes, one of those things where it's like there's parts that are very iconic. But essentially they were like

we can't like replicate Audrey Hepburn. Like there's just no way we can like make an animated

version of her that holds up to her like stardom. But they did take like elements from that story.

So I know you're not super familiar with it, but they're basically it's like this poor woman and

she has this like makeover transformation. She takes these lessons. And this is like a very

like skillbacked bare bones plot. They have she has to go through like etiquette training with

this like tutor and that kind of is the vibe of anesthesia. Like she also like, okay,

I have to learn how to be a princess and I have to like act a certain way. So like there's elements

if you like are aware, you can see the like my fair lady of it. And we can talk about the hair

because I know you said you saw that where so basically she has when we first meet like adult

I guess kind of teenage on. Yeah, she's got this like short hair. It's kind of like pulled up into

like a little pony and it like flips out. But it's very much like very short. Yeah. And then

as the movie progresses and they're on this like boat, she's got like hair like basically down to

her butt. And so I always thought this like growing up watching it. And I'm glad I'm not the only one.

Everyone's like, how long's your hair? Like how did it all fit up in the bob? And like

people are pointing out that it's supposed to show how long this journey of them like

because it's any of it. I was like, oh, yeah, so there it I mean it's 19, you know, well now we're

in like the 1920s. But like so maybe there's some cars in here. Yes, because there's like a whole

car scene. But like it takes a very long time to travel from Russia to France. So it's supposed

to show that like, okay, months are going by. Which but still I just remember as a kid being like,

how does I just saw it? I'm like, she hasn't tucked in there. So that's what I think I thought.

I think this is also why I was a kid. For some reason, I thought I'm going to do it for

lures over the camera. So I thought that I could do like this like low bun and my hair would stick

kind of out. And I was like, it looks like I caught my hair. It looks like I don't like what are you

doing? What is like some neural joy thing? I did. I like it. I felt like it it was time. But yeah,

I literally thought that if I did like a low bun, where it's like kind of like poke outy if that

makes sense, that it's like, I'm tricking everybody because it looks like I caught my hair, but I

didn't. And it's like, it didn't look like a cut your head. Oh, no, that's so funny. She just

infected it. Exactly. I mean, you know, she had a lot of time in the orphanage. I don't know. Right.

But so this is produced by 20th century Fox, which was actually, this is their first animated

feature produced by their own like actual like animated division basically. Cool. Wait,

some of the first were like nearly the first of their kind in the time period. Wow. Yeah,

I wonder if anesthesia is one. It has to be one of the first four then. I'm going to figure out

what the other ones are. You can go. Yeah. Well, in it was they used both hand drawn animation and

like a very early version of CGI. So it was pretty groundbreaking of the time as well.

Um, and it grossed $140 million worldwide and made it the most profitable film for Fox animation

studios. Whoa. Yeah. So it was, it was pretty, it was well received, but again, there's just like,

I had to sifter like so many like critiques of like, this isn't how it was, blah, blah, blah,

and I'm like, I know we get it. Yeah. This is the movie. Okay. Um, and then I really love the

all the songs in here. And I'm very upset because I don't know if you know this joy, but there's

like no anesthesia soundtrack like streaming. It's like you have to, you can find it like on YouTube

and stuff. Yeah. But I'm like, I just, I need to be able to hear like I was listening. I don't

know why I gravitate to listen first, but um, the like opening that have you heard, there's a rumor.

And I was like listening to that while I was trying to like type up notes. And I was like,

this is such a Bob. Like I had to like turn it off to actually focus on my notes, because I was like,

and then like, once upon a December, is that that's the one my brain will like, like,

immediately. Yeah. And then um, darker than the darker than I, that's like recipe and song.

When is the best villain's songs? It's so good. I think of the other recipe. And we're like,

ma ma ma, I can't sing a real life. I'm not trying to get like,

but speaking of the songs, it was nominated for best original song. And that was for journey to

the past. Um, so that's like her, one of her big ballads. And then, um, also best original musical

slash comedy score at the Oscars. So I think they used to have different like score categories.

It didn't win, but it did get nominated, which is kind of cool. That's awesome. And then I do have

a bit of drama. So there was a lot of drama between um, 20th century Fox and Disney, particularly

around this movie. So um, cause did you think it was a Disney princess when you were a kid? Yeah,

yeah, me too. A lot of percent. Yeah. Well, so it actually Disney banned TV ads for Anastasia

from being aired on ABC like in like Disney channel. I don't even know if Disney channel was

around, but like basically any, I think a kid could see and be like, I want to go see this.

Yeah, basically anything that does me. Oh, they're like, no, Anastasia ads.

Whoa. Um, and then there was also like drama because they were essentially like re-releasing

little mermaid around. They were, Disney said it was for the holidays coming up and they're like,

we always re-release movies around the holidays, but it was just like really sus of like the timing.

And it was actually, so there's a reason why we thought it was a Disney movie because like the

animation style, the story of what was very similar to Disney. So it did really get confused

as a Disney movie a lot of the time. And in 2019, 20th Century Fox was purchased by Disney. So it's

technically now owned by Disney, but Anastasia is not part of like the official Disney princess line-up.

Yeah, yeah. So like, it is technically Disney now. And it was like, it was on Disney plus for a

little bit. And then they took it off. And I think they put it back on from what I can tell I didn't

like check on that. Um, but you're never going to find homegirl park. Like you can never

go and do a meet and drink. Yeah. And they're like all the like merch with like where they all

like, yeah, and what was the one? I didn't see it. But like there was one where they like,

there was a movie where they all like hung out together or something. Oh, it's um,

I'm a word cozy tech does. This is one of this times where like in my brain joy later on,

we'll be like, wow, it's like, it's regaralf. It's regaralf. It's regaralf too, I think.

Oh, in a second. Okay. Where she's like, she's like, also, she's one that I feel like gets

ever looked because she's technically a princess, but it is still Disney, but yeah. So she's like,

why are you guys all waiting? And they're like, I don't know. Such good,

a princess voices. And then the last thing I'll talk about, well, I'll get into my cozy, but

is the stage musical. So in 2016, they debuted in a stage as a stage musical, like for Broadway,

which I actually have seen. I saw it in 2019. So it's been a very long time, but I have seen it.

Um, they have six songs from the movie that they use. So not every song is in the musical.

And they introduced 16 new songs specifically for the musical. Um, and they actually kind of

changed the plot a little bit. So there's no resputin, like at all. Um, the villain is a character

named Gleb Vaganov. And he's basically like secret police. So it's like more accurate to what

actually happened. Um, and so the reason for the, a big reason for the changes. So this musical

was written by the original composers for the movie. And they were like super upset that they changed

how much they changed of the history. Um, and so they're like, we want this to be a little more

accurate. So it's, it's still not entirely accurate, but they like made it, I guess, slightly more

on the accurate side. Um, because yeah, like they were really upset. And I'm like, what, again,

what did you expect? You're writing songs of like, yeah. But there's a rumor in St. Peter's

book. It's super accurate. I don't know. Um, but so that's all my behind the scenes, but why

I find it cozy. Um, I think for me, it was like of the time with like Mulan and now where we get

like a little bit more like stronger, yeah, princess characters. And so I think like it just feels

I, I really like the story. I think almost like every song is a banger. I think resputin is

such a funny villain in his little side side, uh, kick bar talk is one of the funniest sidekicks

in a movie. Um, and then this is kind of like not really behind the scenes, but like another

little fun fact. So do you remember when we did the phantom episode recently? And I was like,

oh, it has my favorite building. There is also in in a season. That's like where they see the ballet

at the end. I'm like, oh, animated version. Yeah. I love that. Oh, yeah. And I think too, like

this movie, like I, London is still my favorite, but I also like have a big paris obsession. And

when especially when I was younger, and I think a big part of that is this and then the marry

Kate and Ashley. I love that. I love that. I know it's a funny because Shrek also got turned, like

turned into a show. But I feel like you forgot about that. And my brain makes more sense for it

because it's more like, I don't know, for lack of a better term, maybe elegant. In certain things,

where yeah, I feel like Shrek is quirky, very jukebox, very jukebox, jukebox. I can't remember

which one you say it. Um, but yeah, it's a that musical and just like funky and yeah. So, but I like

it. I really liked yours. I didn't see it for a long time because kind of similar to

not a hunchback of Notre Dame. I feel like it kind of like scary. I mean, yeah. So I

could raise a couple of things in, yeah, I only see Notre Dame like a couple of times because

that one is terrifying. So create. Yeah. Yeah. And this one's kind of scary too, but um,

yeah. So if you haven't seen it, because the detectives, I know I just spoiled a lot of it, but

there is some kind of scary scenes. So just like, yeah. I totally forgot about this. It just

came back to me when I was thinking of like, oh, yeah, there's this moment in this moment in this

moment, but this like core memory just came back. I remember like we would have it. We had it on

like VHS. And I remember watching it. And there's like a scene where there's like a train and

like the bridge breaks and the train like goes and just like falls off and like explodes basically,

which I don't sound stark for kids movie. And I remember me and Jacqueline for some reason as kids,

we would like sit there and like rewind. We're like, we're going to save the train. We're

all cute. Yeah. I don't know what we think about just now. Or like why we did that specifically.

Cute. I love it. Love it. Love it. Do we do two percent? Yes. And I do have an update.

They've made it. They're parachuting down. Thank you. Yeah. Yeah. Okay. I've been like

looking at my phone like this whole time. Just like, I know. I was trying not to be that because

I took a little sit here like right obviously by the computer. Yeah. I always I was like, okay,

don't do it. Don't don't look it up. Give her a second. That's so cool. Look at them. They're so

happy. I know. My friends texted me because I have like two friends that are like giving me updates.

And it was like five minutes until landing. Everything is going planned. And then this one I'm like

she said, I literally got teary eyed when they did the comms check after their blackout. And we

heard Houston, we hear you loud and clear. There's like a moment. Yeah. There's like a moment.

Which in the book, I was talking about atmosphere. That's like such a like

heart-founding part in the book. And then you like think when thing is going to happen. And then

it like suddenly ends. And so it's just like such an emotional book. But no more space to have

refined. No, but back into the happy. We're happy. We're happy. They're good. They did. So cool. Yeah.

That was like perfect timing too. I was like case file done. I saw my phone. And I was like,

whoo. Do you want to do your 2% first thing you don't need to go first? I'll go because this is

what I was trying to talk about earlier is I was deciding between I want to take a nap. But

I want to make a matcha. So you girls been on the matcha train and figuring it out. And I feel like

I'm getting there with it. The thing that it's kind of embarrassing is I totally made the

strawberry syrup wrong. But I technically tried to make a syrup. But I want to make it again and

make it moheta. And then I will check off that box from my spring bucket list. It's like a

half check. Technically I did it. But it's not great. Because I have to like do all this other

stuff to it because I don't know what I was thinking. I just like didn't look at the recipe. I was

like, I'm pretty sure it's put it on there. It'll be fine. And like I didn't have any water. I

didn't add any sugar. I just like basically whatever it's called. I just like made strawberry soup.

So it's fine. I'll know. It doesn't taste bad. But I just have to add like maple syrup and all

this stuff to it. But I'm really liking it. I got a little matcha set also yellow. I feel like

that's just the color of the season for me right now. So it's really fun. I'm a little whisk

and then I like pre make sure it's hot and then I do a little M's for the matcha and make sure

so I'm still learning to go like and make the perfect one. But I'm really liking it. And the trick

that I saw people also talking about if you don't like your ice is to get a like two dollar bag

of ice from Chick-fil-A because they have like the nugget ice. So I did that to me like the nugget

ice for it. And that's like the best ice. So I'm getting there. I'm really enjoying it. I made

quite a few. I love this journey for you. I know. It started real, real bad because I had

icky matcha. And then I was like, oh, yuck. And then I was like, I really hope this is a matcha.

So then I got different matcha. And it was matcha and made me feel better. I was like, okay, good.

Yay. That's your two percent. So I was actually a little inspired by you for my two percent

in my in the fact that mine's like car related. Ooh. I know you've been like in your little car

era lately. But I just got like five more CDs today because it's right. Yeah. Two of them

were the wrong ones. Which one you get? I did not double check. You know, because she was like,

did you double check inside? And I was like, yeah, there's one different. And I guess like my eyes

did what their eyes did, which is like, sorry, I'm taking over your two percent. No, I asked. I want

to know. I was like, wait a second. Um, but I was like the Shania Twain like cover. And I opened

it and I saw the words Shania Twain. So like, okay, this has to be the right CD. It's not the right

CD. But it's okay, because this CD is still I still like so far. So, but it's hard because like,

I can't check to see what the next song is. So I should divide and be like, okay, Shania.

because I was aware that this one was the wrong one, but it made me giggle. So it's, um,

what a girl wants is the outside case, but then you open it and it's a Cinderella story. Like,

I know. So I was like, okay. That's kind of it. Yeah. Either or. Okay. Yeah. So I did get it,

but it's pretty scratch. So I need to see if that one, if it'll just play or two, like how I can

clean it. Yeah. But I was trying to, I was trying to think of like, is there any like after

his and both of those movies? Right. I think it's just the same time period or something. We're like,

yeah, I think so, but I would like it's there. Yeah. I was just like, is there any like connection,

but yeah. I think there's someone probably really obvious. I don't know, but, um, so yeah. So my

car related. Yeah. I, so basically I'll explain why, but I have a new little keychain. It's not new,

but I put a keychain on my keys to my car, but like a little cozier. Um, but I just have a really

hard time and knock on the wood, but I anytime I would put like a keychain on my keys, it would

break or fall off. I just have really bad keychain look. And I'm like, my keys are so ugly and

boring. And I just wanted a little personality on that. So I like was going like sorting through

like stuff. I'm a millennial, my hoarder, so be it, but I get it. It was, it's a little dragonfly

keychain that I got from one of the fan fest that I went to. I'm like, hmm, a little girl,

a girl's touch on my car keys. Ah, I love it. Oh, my word, I love it. I know I'm doing my

loops one on. I got the loops one from the event last year, but I didn't put it on yet. But,

ah, I love it. Is it, was it like a, a handmade one or was it like a studio? No, it's, yeah,

it's not, not either. It's like a little metallic, but it's like, I wouldn't say it's,

oh, what's the word? It's not, basically, it's like, depending on what like angle you're at,

it kind of is like a different color. Sometimes it's a little more purpley, sometimes it's a little more

like greeny, goldy. So I couldn't think of the word for that, but,

I'm wearing the same translucent and that's not it. It's, ah, your destiny. Oh, yeah, we,

one of those words. Yeah, we had that whole, like, is it transparent, transparent? Yeah, right.

I, I want, I keep what you say, like hydra, like a hydro something. Ponic. No, that's like a plant.

I don't know. Anyway, anyway, we're talking cool anyways. But before I get it, because it's,

cozy detected 2%, I have related to your car and related to a cozy detective 2%,

someone requested the story of how you didn't know your car has a son record.

I don't know, cozy detectives, to be honest with you. Sometimes I just buy and the, I like,

I'm sure at one point, I knew it. You know what I'm saying? Yeah, I think when I, it's like,

how often do you look at your ceiling? You know what I'm saying? So I feel like because,

I don't know, good detective. So I feel like, when I got that hat, I was like laughing so

like how though, but I think it's because it was closed. And every other car I had had, like,

didn't, or had gone into, didn't have one. My brain didn't even think like, what if the roof has

a window? And so then when lura said it, it was like the first time in a long time, I looked up

and then I realized it. I was so excited. And I said, you have a voice message.

The thing I just said. Well, I know. And then the like episode, it was like,

I'm so excited. No, I love, I was so happy for you. But it just like, I thought it was like

silly when you like texted me the like voice memo about it. And then I was just like,

love a lot. And then when we got the DM, I was like, I know, I want to hear that.

I'm going to ask my big current decision in regards to the sunroof is I've seen some people have

those stickers that's kind of like stained glass. And those look so pretty. So pretty. But also,

I like the idea of just looking at and seeing the sky. So I don't know. I feel like I'll have to

also, honestly, true story. Don't judge me because the detectives. I have this fear. And it

is so rational because it has ever happened. No, but I don't know. I have this fear. I'm going to

open the sunroof like it not even like open open like to the world. Just open it like slide it

back. I mean, the mirror's going to fall on me. I said, has it ever happened? No, no, it's never

this week for the first time because of you. And I loved it so much. It was not prepared to

solve through the last 45 minutes. Yeah. Truly. And then said, I rented the DVD from the library,

which again, shout out. Wow. You got. Yes. And then watched it with the windows open and a lovely

warm spring breeze drifting in making it 2% cozier indeed. And it was so lovely. Oh my goodness.

I feel like that's so many percentage cozier. You just like stacked all of our stuff.
