Noem Steps Down, Mullin Takes Over at DHS

President Donald Trump announced that Christie Knowham is stepping down as Secretary of the Department of Homeland Security. She's shifting to a new role as Special Envoy for the Shield of the Americas. Taking her place will be Mark Wayne Mullin, the junior United States senator from Oklahoma. Knowham has drawn plenty of attention during her time at the department, including questions about her flashy outfits and reports of an affair with a top. Survivor, Cory Lewandowski. Both were married at the time, fueling lots of public chatter. Late night host Seth Meyers jumped on the news during his A Closer look segment. He poked fun in how Knowham will fund her eye-catching wardrobe now, showing a montage of her and outfits like a fireman's uniform, cowboy hats, and arming. Fatidiks, Meyers also took a jab at the incoming secretary. He highlighted Mullin's recent odd common, comparing Iran's rebuilding to how people shatter bones and car crashes.
