Senior Cade McCorerson, capped his high school career perfectly, book ending it with state titles after winning as a freshman four years ago. The team bounced back strong after missing state last year due to injuries and tough regional play. They beat rivals like Seward, Sue Valley, and Lumen Christy to advance, showing their grit from non-stop off-season workouts and dozens of scrimmages. Fans from the tiny village turned out in force, filling bleachers and cheering loud for a school down to just 30 high school kids. Coach Nick Finley said, bringing the trophy home means everything to the close Nick community. Brothers Cade and Andon McCorerson dominated scoring with 33 points together, Cade led with 18, while freshmen Andon added 15, including three, three pointers that stretch the lead.
