The power hour and every hour here on You Better You Bet brought to you by BetMGM, make it legendary by downloading the BetMGM app and visiting BetMGM.com. Got a lot to do this hour, final hour of the show. We will close the show by giving you our bets for conference tournaments in college basketball, as the power conference tournaments get set to start, very much looking forward to that. That plus bets for individual games, both in college hoops and the NBA. That will close the show coming up about 45 minutes from now. Ton of NFL free agencies still to get to, including three teams that are picking in the top five of the draft, spent like Drunken Sailors yesterday. I liked two teams, just like the other approach. We'll get to that coming up in a little bit here. We still have to touch on the Carolina Panthers. We have to touch on the New York football Giants, a lot to do in the final 60 minutes on this Tuesday. But the breaking news in the world of college basketball, we've alluded to a couple times

over the course of the last 45 minutes or so. Duke had coach John Shire announcing that starting point guard Caleb Foster has a fractured foot. Shire added that Foster could return, but Duke would have to make the final four in order for that to happen. Our friend Jeff Goodman of the field of 68 tweeted a little while ago that a source told him in the field of 68 that there is an outside chance that Caleb Foster could play if Duke makes the final four, but it's minimal. So I think for all intents and purposes, Caleb Foster has done for the year for Duke. The good news for the Duke Blue Devils is that stepping into play point guard will be Caden Booser, who's obviously, you know, Cam's brother, Carlos's son, which is actually true. Now Goodman added, and we think Jeff is one of the best in the business comes on the show all the time, that Duke can still win the national championship without Caleb Foster at the point.

And maybe that's true. I think it would be foolish for anyone to say Duke cannot win the national championship because Caleb Foster is out. Now if Cam Booser got hurt, then certainly Duke can't win the national championship. But Caleb Foster being out, and he's a really good player, Australian for good college point guard. Caleb Foster being out does not mean that Duke can't win the title. But what it does mean, and we'll get some date on this in the ACC tournament, and obviously as the NCAA tournament progresses, when Duke gets to the final four, and when Duke has to do battle with the likes of Arizona, do battle with the likes of Michigan, do battle with the likes of Florida, while not having Caleb Foster batter, then. I'm also going to give you right now the teams that are projected,

and I believe guys, this is CBS Sports Bracketology that we're going to use here. The projected two and three seeds right now in the NCAA tournament. This is from Bracket Matrix, which is I think a compilation of all, like the top Bracketology websites, right? The two seeds, Yukon, Houston, Michigan State, Illinois, the threes, Iowa State, Nebraska, Purdue, and Alabama. If you're a Duke fan, if you're someone that wants to bet Duke to make the final four when the national championship, I think you're hoping for Illinois to be the two seed. Illinois can obviously score the basketball with great aplomb, but their defense thinks that I think Duke easily beats them. If, indeed, that's the matchup in the elite eight. Yukon, on a given night, can absolutely beat Duke. I don't know that I picked them, but have they have the upside? Houston has the upside to beat Duke in a one game scenario.

We saw it last year, unfortunately, for us who bet Duke to the tournament. Michigan State, I also think, might have the upside in a one game scenario to beat Duke. And as far as the threes go, does Duke really want to see Iowa State? Just throwing it out there. Caleb Foster probably done for the year. We will have a bracket on Sunday. I would still take Duke to the final four, but if that's something you want to do in your bracket, or with the bet, I think you're probably rooting for a specific series of events in Duke's bracket. Last note here. I think it's setting up as a very interesting real-life storyline, where Cam Booser is going to win National Player of the Year in College Basketball. He's been outstanding, likely to be a top three pick in the NBA,

draft probably behind A.J. Dabonson, Darren Peterson, in whatever order. His brother is obviously less celebrated, Caden Booser. And now, Caden's going to have an opportunity, along with his brother, Cam, if Duke's going to make a big run, to etch his name in Duke Lore, and might not have gotten that opportunity otherwise, the Sensei W.A. Tournament is going to be absolutely amazing. And speaking of College Basketball, Ben MGM players will receive a College Basketball Odd's Boost Token, use the token, and a College Basketball wager to your bet slip, and activate the token. If you win your wager that was made with the token, you'll receive extra winnings and unrestricted bonus dollars, make it legendary, download the Ben MGM app today, and please gamble responsibly. Okay, you better, you bet Westwood Onesports and Acastos, and you. Back to NFL free agency. Three of the teams picking in the top five, spent like, I keep saying,

I guess it's curse like Drunken Sailors. What do they spend like? Like a, like a housewife about to get divorced, I don't know. Whatever, they spend lots of money. Like Nick Costos, when he has too much money and go shopping, I'll be honest, it's one of my vices. The team with the number one pick, the Las Vegas Raiders, Spending Spray. The team with the number two pick in the NFL draft, the New York Jets, Spending Spray. Spending Spray. We'll talk on the Giants with the fifth pick, and the team with the third pick, just like signed Gardner Menshu. Just, I'd love to know what the Arizona Cardinals are doing. The Las Vegas Raiders signed free agent center, Tyler Linderbaum, to what is not, not by a close margin. By far, the richest deal that's ever been handed out to a center. Tyler Linderbaum is going to make $27 million a year.

The second highest paid center in the NFL, Creed Humphrey, makes 18. I think a lot of general managers are probably pretty pissed at John Spiteck and the Raiders, because now it means that the market is going to be raised. Think about this, like you're like an average left tackle, like for she walker, like you're a left tackle, and Linderbaum just got $27 million. Teams go and have to pony up for these offensive linemen now. Like unintended consequence, I'm not saying the Raiders should care, but I think that's a little interesting. So, Tyler Linderbaum will be the center, and I agree with what Danny Parkin said earlier in the show when he joined us in our number one. That Linderbaum, yes, they overpaid for him, but he's an awesome center. You want to help Fernando Mendoza, assuming Mendoza is the number one pick. And Linderbaum, while Mendoza eases into the offense before he's ready to call the protections and really set things up, Linderbaum can do that. So, I like that signing. They also signed two linebackers, Nicobie Dean and Quay Walker, wide receiver, Jalen Neller, retains Malcolm Coons and Eric Stokes,

and brought in Quiddy Pay from the Indianapolis Colts. The Jets traded for Mink of its Patrick, and then a bunch on the defensive side of the ball. DiMario Davis back for his third tour of duty as a jet. David O'Neill on the defensive line, where him and Tavondre sweat are two monsters in that defensive line now for the Jets. Joseph Asai from the Cincinnati Bengals, Kingsley Enig Barre from the Green Bay Packers, pass Russia, and Gain Belt and another safety to go along with Mink of its Patrick. And the Tennessee Titans. Man, it's like the Brian Dable, Robert Sala, like failed New Yorkers collection. Wondale Robinson on a big contract at receiver, John Franklin Myers on the defensive line, and a pair of corners, Cordell Flot, the former Giants, and a Laonte Taylor from the New Orleans Saints. Generally, in NFL free agency, it has been viewed as a negative when you spend a ton of money

and you bring in a ton of players. It has generally been considered to be something that bad teams do, and then they stay bad as a result, right, where you think draft and develop, retain your young players. Don't go out on spending free and free agency. It's not going to work. And there are outliers to everything, but generally that has been the case in the NFL. And I am curious now if the New England Patriots and what the Patriots accomplished last off season is now kind of bucking that trend, or the Patriots went wild in spending last off season. And we talked about it throughout their run to the Super Bowl. Milton Williams, your Carlton Davis, Stefan Diggs, others, like the Patriots killed it in free agency last year. It's one of the reasons why Mike Vrable, one coach of the year in New England, was your AFC champion. And with the salary cap exploding the way it has,

and time will tell, I don't have to be right about this. But I don't think that we are in a place now in the NFL where just because you spend a ton of free agency, it has to go poorly. I don't think that's the case. I really like what the Raiders did. This one will be more controversial. I like what the Tennessee Titans did. We'll start with the Raiders. And think about what we've said recently about the Raiders, right? When we are viewing it through the Max Crosby lens, the Raiders have basically no good players on the roster. Remember that exercise? We went through it, right? We went through the Raiders depth chart. How many good players do the Raiders have? It's like Brock Bowers and then maybe Aston Gentie, is that it? Is that it? Every single player that the Raiders signed yesterday is better than whoever else they would have run out there. Like every single player I mentioned in Coons and Stokes, they've obviously retained, they're not bad players,

they're not great, but they're decent players for the Raiders. Jaylen Neller, Nicobie Dean, Kwei Walker, Tyler Lindervom are all immediate upgrades, immediate upgrades for a team that desperately needs good football players. I like it for the Raiders. Like Dean and Walker, I think, are fascinating signings at the linebacker position. You know, Quitte Pay is not lived up to the first ground pedigree that went out good, we thought he'd be when the cold strapped in him at a Michigan. But I like that for the Raiders. Again, they need more good players. Lindervom is a stud. You want to help Fernando Mendoza. You want, forget about Mendoza. But like, how about help Ashton Gentie, who is running into brick walls last season? I don't think any of this means the Raiders are going to contend for like a wildcard birth. I'm not insinuating that. But man, like, the team's got to be respectable. And this helps them on the path to respectability. And you can say the same about the Tennessee Titans, right? A lot of the Taylor and Cordell Flot

are going to start at corner for Tennessee. And like, Jerry, you see, how do you not like this for the Tennessee Titans? How do you not like John Franklin Myers joining Jermaine Johnson now on this re-made Titans defense of front? And maybe with the fourth pick, we'll see what is it, Jeremiah Love? Is it Arvel Reese? Does David Bailey drop? Is it Ruben Bain? Like, they're going to have options at fourth overall. And I'll tell you, I was actually texting with some people last night. And I am a Giants fan. Like, people seem to think Wondale Robinson stinks. And I disagree with that. Like, you want to say 70 million too much for Wondale Robinson, like whatever. Okay, it's not your money. It's not my money. Wondale Robinson is an excellent slot receiver, a great underneath receiver, who's going to be a security blanket for cam ward. Who, by the way, even at a diminutive size of five foot eight, can still win vertically at points. And we saw that last year for the Giants. That's an awesome signing for cam ward. An awesome signing. I love that. They need help at receiver still.

It can't be Chamary, DK, and Alec Iamanner. And Wondale Robinson. I don't think Calvin Ridley is going to be on the team. So you need like a real downfield threat. But I mean, you know, we're at the start of a rebuild for the Titans here. Cam Ward's going to be in a way better spot this year than he was last year. And if cam ward can take that step forward, can the Titans contend for a wildcard birth? Like they can, right? Like, I'm not going to say that about the Raiders. I think the Tennessee Titans can. And I think people are kind of missing the boat here on what the Titans did. Am I saying they're a Super Bowl team? No, I'm not saying that. But can the Titans go nine and eight ten and seven if cam ward takes the next step? Absolutely. And are the Raiders way better today than they were yesterday at this time? 24 hours ago? How can you argue against it? Now, as for the New York Jets. To be fair, I will answer.

I will ask and answer the same question about the Jets that I just did about the Raiders. Are the Jets a better football team now than they were 24 hours ago? Absolutely. No question. The difference, though, between the Jets and the Raiders and the Titans is the Raiders are going to draft Fernando Mendoza. The Titans already have cam ward. And the Jets are spending and not just spending. DiMario Davis is old. He's still good, but he old. In his late thirties. David Onyamada, not a spring chicken. The Jets are spending like a team that feels like it can contend in the AFC. And they're not even close. Not even close. Not even in the ballpark of contending. And my fear for the Jets and Jets fans. And I talked about this last night with some people locally.

That are kind of like covered the team. That are like in with the team. People that I think are really smart as a concerns football. And it feels like this is like Aaron Glenn trying to save his job. And maybe GM DARREN Mooji is feeling the heat as well. Despite the fact he's amassed five first round picks in the next two NFL drafts. What else makes sense? Why are they building the team like this? Like they're clearly trying to be good this year. Why would they want that? So Aaron Glenn can save his job. Like months after he fired his entire coaching staff. Like if that's what it was going to be, they should have fired Aaron Glenn. And then you can talk to yourself into this. Maybe. Maybe. Best course of action for the Jets is to go to in 15, fire Aaron Glenn, hire a new coach, and get archmaning or get Dante Moore or Julian Sayon or whomever it is. That's what's best for business for the New York Jets. This. And let's just say it's Carson Wences the Jets quarterback.

And I know you want to throw up in your mouth. That's been reported. Frank Reich's the OC of the Jets. They were together and Indianapolis, right? So let's say it's Carson Wences, which I hope it's not for Jets fans. But let's say it is. This team's going to go like six and 11. I think they've got some pretty good players on offense and defense. And you go six and 11. You're out of the archmaning sweepstakes. You're probably out of the Dante Moore sweepstakes. We'll see how the rest of the quarterbacks turn out. It feels like the Jets are going to waste this year. And it's going to be wasted on like ten Aaron Glenn save his job. Who cares? Who cares? The Jets need to be focused on who is the franchise quarterback. And it looks like we ain't getting the answer to that question until at least next year. And I feared the Jets are going to be too good for them to really answer that question at the top of the draft. And not bad enough to answer that question at the top of the draft.

Other than that Jets fans, it's awesome. Do you agree with me on the Raiders and the Titans? 3108404910, youtube.com, backslash at the Costos. Coming up next. More NFL free agency talk. And I'm going to tell everybody the team that's currently at Ben MGM at the bottom of the odds board to win its division. I think they're going to win the division title next year.
