Adam and Allison Podcast — New Thanksgiving Eve plans. Machine-transcribed; use the interactive transcript above to jump the player to any line.
What does Thanksgiving Eve typically mean to you, Allison? Stress. Really? Yeah, because it's like if I want to get anything made ahead of time, I usually wait till the last minute to do that. Maybe there's some last minute grocery shopping that needs to happen, and it all feels really stressful. All right, what about before you quit drinking? What did it mean? Ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha. Ah, I'm still pretty much as safe as always. Like, that's giving has always been very stressful for me. So Thanksgiving Eve may now mean NFL football. I like that a lot more than stress. I do like it as well. The NFL is looking at adding a Thanksgiving Eve game into their schedule, and it could actually start as early as this season. They're thinking about doing it. Okay, I'm in. The only problem with that, it wasn't this past year, but the year before I think Christmas fell on a Wednesday, and the NFL had games on the Wednesday, but that's a very short week. I think they really need to look into, you know, maybe the Friday before Thanksgiving,
and playing some games on that Friday. Oh, okay. Yeah, I could see that. And then allowing those, those, those teams, they would, the teams that are going to play on the following Wednesday, don't make them play on Sunday, and then again, on Wednesday, haven't played on like Friday night. So then boom, more football, more NFL football, that's a good thing for everybody. Wait, credit to you for like thinking of the players, and like how hard that must be. Like, oh, what a quick turnaround time from Sunday to Wednesday. Whereas I'm sitting here like, oh, if I have a football game to put on, that's a lot less stress. If I have some cooking that needs to be done the night before, because like I got four hours of a football game to cook low stress, I have something to do. And you're like, oh, but the player. Well, kind of, kind of, except really what I'm going with, is the games that were on Wednesday, a couple of years ago, for Christmas, Stank, they were terrible games, because nobody wanted to play, because they were still so tired from Sunday. I'm really thinking about this from my perspective only.
First of all, it'd be great to have a Friday night of games, just for the hell of it, basically. And then we get better quality of football the following Wednesday. Wow, that is, that's so funny. And also, if Roger Gideller would ever consult me on this, because it's already been established, I got great ideas for this Thanksgiving Eve game. But I will make this strong recommendation that you do not put it behind some stupid streaming service that I don't have. I have Netflix. You want to put it on Netflix? That's cool too. I'm good with that. But none of the other ones. But not Amazon Prime. That's going to hack me off if you put the Thanksgiving Eve game on Amazon Prime.
