New Footpath Opens in Edwalton, Connecting Villages

0:00On March 8th, a new footpath has opened in Edwalton, linking Wellingtonia Crescent directly to pass around Edwalton Golf Course. This route gives residents from the village and nearby areas easier access to West Bridgeford and Gamston while letting kids walk safely to school and helping everyone skip the busy Melton Road. Local counselors, head by Perrek, Gordon Wheeler and Jonathan Wheeler teamed up with developers Rushcliffe-Burrow Council and Nottinghamshire County. Council to speed up the project, especially after a temporary closure of an old right of way for new housing at Edwalton Glade. People are thrilled about it heading into spring as it boosts active travel and connects newer neighborhoods to village spots like the golf centers, bar and cafe, plus scenic walks around the course. Maintenance stays with the developers for now, and you can join the bigger network from spots like the end of village street about 100 meters up. The golf center itself, or Blackbird Crescent, making it a real win for local walkers.
