New Bike Routes Launch in Blaby

They both start at Everard's Meadows and head out from there, with one looping into the local district of Blaby in Lestershire and the other, straight to Lester City Center. Everard's Meadows makes a perfect kickoff spot because it links right up to Route 6 of the National Cycle Network and offers clear trails plus easy access to the broader Igaria. The routes got their official debut during English Tourism Week on March 18, giving residents and visitors a fresh way to explore by bike. One path follows the Great Central Way and Goose Lachston Trail into Bowskale Park, while the other sticks to Great Central Way through Aelstone Meadows, and Beed Park before finishing up in the City Center on Horsefare Street. By a legacy grant from Lestershire County Council, these routes push for greener travel options amid climate challenges and aim to boost health for everyone in the community.
