New Bench Honors Fallen Soldier in Ashfield

The soldier from the area lost his life in Afghanistan back in 2009 and Ashfield District Council just installed this memorial donated in his honor. Lindem Group stepped up with the donation as part of their community give back after constructing 16 new homes on Adrian Sheldon View in Kirkby, that housing project turned a rundown spot into fresh homes for locals, and naming it after Adrian ties it all together nicely. Family members like his parents, Diane and Mark, plus sister Amy, gather for the unveiling alongside retired Lieutenant Colonel Bos Melia and Major, Tommy Megasin from the Rifles Regiment and Lindem Rebs. The Sheldon's called it a heartfelt spot right across from his grave, perfect for friends and family to pause and remember without worry of vandalism. His heavy-duty weatherproof bench offers a sturdy seat for anyone visiting loved ones, low maintenance and built to last.
