Never Touch What Washes Ashore...

A marine biologist who discovers a massive, mysterious, and armored 20-foot organic mass washed up on a beach during her nightly walk. Believing it to be a unique scientific find, she enlists her coworker, Raoul, and a group of friends to help transport the specimen to their lab. As the group drinks and struggles to move the heavy, strangely non-decomposing "carcass," they begin to notice unsettling characteristics, such as an exoskeleton-like texture and movements that suggest the creature might not be a dead whale at all, but rather a living, potentially dangerous new species that is beginning to wake up.
