Netflix Denies Asking Damon-Affleck to Repeat Plot

Now Netflix's executives are pushing back hard, denying the whole thing ever happened. The comments first surfaced during a January chat on the Joe Rogan experience while the duo promoted the film. The ideas spread fast online and even inspired a funny Oscar sketch by host Conan O'Brien and Sterling K. Brown, poking fun and repeating lines from, classics like Casablanca. Netflix's head of film content, David Lynn, said his team got a kick out of the Oscars bit but stressed there's no policy like that. He pointed out you don't see repeated plots in their shows or movies and wondered where the story even started. Off content officer Bella Bajaria called the accusation offensive to filmmakers, saying Netflix wouldn't give bad notes like that and creators.
