ND Okafor Joins Mississippi State

They've locked in their fifth commit, Big Man Indy Okafor from Washington State, who flipped from Ole Miss. Okafor hails from Dundock, Ireland and honed his skills at the NBA Academy Latin America before suiting up for Ireland's national team. Back in the U-6 European Championship in 2019, he dominated with 16 points, 14 rebounds and four blocks of game. Rated at three star recruit, 88 on 247 sports, he picked Cal out of a stacked offer list, including Arizona and Baylor. As a freshman, he saw 30 games, averaging 3.7 points and 2.5 boards in 13 minutes. An injury sidelined him after nine games the next year. He transferred to Washington State and leveled up quick. First year there, he played all 32 games with 5.6 points,

1:052.7 rebounds and led the conference in blocks at one point. Six per shooting over 62 percent from the field. This season, he started every game hitting a career high 23 minutes. This hall, capped by Okafor's size at 6 foot 10, on 250 pounds, positions stayed strong for a tournament run next year.
