Nationals Send Prospects to Minors Camp

They reassigned catcher Max Romero and right handed pitchers. Andrew Lara, Jarlan Susanna, Travis Sakura, and Eddie Yeane to minor league camp. Earlier this week, the team had over 50 players take-at bats in spring games. That included plenty of young prospects and a bunch of arms ramping up for the majors. Two of those pitchers, Sakura and Susanna, rank as top four prospects in the latest MLB pipeline list. Both are recovering from surgeries, Tommy John for Sakura, and a let issue for Susanna so they could not throw yet. Still, exposing them to Big League operations makes sense for their future. Lara debuted last season, but struggled, and he cleared waivers after being designated for assignment. He allowed just one run over three innings this spring before the move. Yeane signed in the offseason after a strong AAA year with a 3.06 ERA, but he gave a
