National Trust Hosts Free Beaver Screenings

In Birmingham's Victoria Square, the event runs from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. with similar showings in Newcastle, Cardiff, and Belfast. It's all part of their push to help more people connect with nature. This comes as the charity works to give everyone better access to wildlife experiences. Players play a big role in that, thanks to their engineering skills and wetlands that boost biodiversity. People rarely spot beavers in the wild because they're nocturnal, and numbers are still low after being hunted to extinction in England during the 16th century. These screenings let city folks enjoy their dam building and family antics up close through captured video. Recently, the Trust made history by releasing beavers into the wild at their home Dakota State in Somerset. This marks the site's first open release, following a policy change last year that greenlights more reintroductions.
