Nasir Adderley Returns to NFL with Colts

The safety, drafted in the second round by the Los Angeles Chargers back in 2019 out of Delaware, retired in March 2023, following four solid seasons. Now 28th, he signed a deal with the Indianapolis Colts this week, giving him a shot to reclaim his spot. Earlier this year in February, Adderley dropped an Instagram post saying he missed the competition and brotherhood of football. He focused on health, family, and building his own businesses during his break, loving the freedom of his own schedule. But the pull of the game was too strong, so he put in the work to make a comeback. Colts officials were blown away by his workout, per reports from ESPN. Indy needed depth in the secondary, especially with an opening at strong safety after Nick Cross bolted to Washington. He've already grabbed free agents like Juan Ye Thomas from Dallas and Jonathan Owens, who bounced around from Houston to Chicago.

He battled injuries early and lost his starting gig late in 2022, but he stayed consistent over those final three years.
