The whole city is in uproar as Barbara Jean’s mental health continues to deteriorate. Which is not to say that the rest of our cast of thousands is faring much better. Warnings are ignored. Affairs are plotted. Women are exploited. And all the while, that strange, greasy third-party politician is still consolidating his own power. As poor Barbara Jean is forced onto the stage, can the Bicentennial go off without a hitch? Will the American Dream finally sour? Or has it already long-since spoiled?
