A few years back, she briefed astronaut candidate Victor Glover during a visit to Marshall Space Flight Center. He's now the pilot for Artemis II. For her, this launch hits deep. Back in 5th grade, she wrote a term paper on Vern Herr von Braun and his rocket team at the center he helped create. She never dreamed she'd contribute there herself. Artemis II marks the first human trip to the moon in more than 50 years, teeing up bigger missions ahead.
