Nabers Salty Over Cowboys Drafting Downs

New York had the 10th spot but went with Miami offensive tackle Francis Mawegoa instead, passing on the guy Neighbors clearly wanted on his squad. Now he'll face Downs twice a year in the division. The Cowboys made a slick move, trading their 12th pick plus 2-5th rounders to the dolphins to jump up and grab him. Neighbors was live streaming the draft with Packer's defensive end, Micah Parsons, when Dallas turned in the card. He straight jumped off the couch, sighing like he just lost his favorite beat. Neighbors didn't hold back, saying he'd rather have Downs with a Giants than lineup against him. He called the safety straight fire, the top guy on everyone's board. Coming from Neighbors, a former LSU star who tangled with Downs back when he balled at Alabama, that hits different. Downs is 6 feet tall, 206 pounds, and Scouts are hyping him as a generational talent.
