N.C. State Loses Key WR to PED Suspension

Sophomore Teddy Hoffman will sit out all of 2026 after testing positive for a ban performance enhancing drug. The Wolfpack made the announcement on Monday through an official news release. The NCAA handed down an automatic one-year suspension, which covers a full calendar year and one complete season of play. Those did not share details about the substance itself, or when the test took place. Last year's a true freshman in 2025, Hoffman saw action in all 13 games. He hauled in 25 passes for 359 yards and three touchdowns. He even tossed a 59-yard touchdown on a trick plague in Pittsburgh. Hoffman was set for a bigger role this year after the team lost receivers, Wesley Grimes, Noah Rogers, and Terrell Anderson.
