Myles Garrett's Speeding Ticket: NFL Star Faces Criticism

But off the field, he's facing criticism for repeated traffic violations, including a recent speeding ticket. On February 21st, Sheriff's Deputies in Wayne County clocked him driving 94 miles per hour and a 70 mile per hour zone early in the morning. This marks his ninth citation since the Browns drafted him back in 2017. Browns head coach Kevin Stofansky called it extremely disappointing from a team leader. He said it's been addressed with Garrett in the team, stressing he needs to slow down for everyone's safety. Garrett signed a four year, $160 million contract extension last off season. The owner challenged him to step up as a true leader. And on the field, he delivered with a record 23 sacks that season. That pushed his career total to 125 and a half sacks, tying him for 20th all time.
