Due to my intensive rotational grazing program with my flock of Dorper Sheep, forage production across my 23 acres EXPLODED last year. With the extra grass I custom grazed a herd of 14 beef cows. This was a mixed herd of cows, steers, and a bull. In this video I explain how I am overwintering the cattle with no hay. I also talk about how to protein supplement for poor quality pasture. I hope this helps you as you take care of your cattle during winter!
