A nasty, multi-vehicle crash hit the Trans Canada Highway Tuesday afternoon, right south of the Kamenis River, shutting down the whole road for a couple hours. It went down at the Highway 1 and Mount Sikker Road intersection, with traffic blocked both ways at first, as Drive BC jumped on a quick. Paramedics rode out just before 230 pm, and folks nearby saw vehicles tossed into ditches. One black pickup smashed front and back, another. Some sideways, near that Russell Farm Market. By 4.30 pm, the highway reopened, but crews kept the southbound lane closed longer, to pull out the wrecks and check things over. Jarvis got the word to steer clear and take side routes, and now traffic's flowing smooth again. Eyes open out there on those curves. That wraps Canada News Today, brought to you, with AI, I'm Coring with the Story.
