Multi-Vehicle Crash on NC Highway 10 Shuts Down Road

0:00In Durham, it's March 7th, here's what is happening. A serious crash, late Friday night shut down North Carolina Highway, 2-10 near Anderson Creek School Road, 3 vehicles collided around 10.36 pm, sending 6 people to the hospital. Firefighters arrived in just 5 minutes and closed the road in both directions. All 3 cars were heading southbound at the time. A pickup truck tried to pass a slower car using the right turn lane. The trucks swung back into traffic, but sides wiped the car ahead. That collision spun the first car across the road. A third vehicle then slammed into it from behind. The pickup ended up overturned off the left side of the highway. The wreck caused major delays with the highway closed for over 2 hours. First responders secured the scene, watch troopers investigated the chain of events. Crews finally reopened the road shortly after 12.30 am, allowing traffic to flow again.
