On March 2nd, a 38-year-old motorbike rider from Nottinghamshire died in hospital after a crash, just moments after leaving a pub. Stephen Morris collided with a bitly in a Volvo on Alfritton Road in Underwood on July 20th last year, suffering fatal injuries that included an open pelvic fracture. Earlier that day, Morris attended a motorcycle event before meeting a friend at the Ginger Giraffe pub where he had an estimated two or three drinks. He left around 7.55 pm, overtook another vehicle, then lost control, and hit the oncoming cars. The Volvo's computer system quickly called emergency services, who rushed Morris to Queen's Medical Center in Nottingham. Sadly, he passed away at 10.10 pm for multiple traumatic injuries. His family remembered him as a wonderful dad and talented musician, noting it was out of character for him to drink before riding. They shared that the family would never get over the loss and plan a memorial gig this year. At the inquest, the Kornner ruled the death a roadtraffic collision linked to alcoholic
intoxication, with blood alcohol at 116 mg per 100ml above the 80 mg legal limit. Alcohol clearly played a part in him losing control. Alcohol clearly played a part in him losing control. implai
