Motorcyclist Killed in Winter Haven Crash

0:00Welcome to Tampa Bay News today, two minutes of news that matter to Tampa Bay. A tragic crash in Winter Haven, Florida claimed the life of a 23-year-old motorcyclist on Wednesday evening. Investigators with the Polk County Sheriff's Office say it unfolded just after 7pm on March 4th near Third Street Southwest and Avenue G. Southwest, involving multiple vehicles. The driver of a Nissan Rogue was heading home from church when she tried switching to the inside lane ahead of a four truck. That move caused her SUV's rear to clip the truck's front bumper, sending the Rogue spinning across the median into oncoming southbound traffic. Meanwhile, Bryson Love was riding his motorcycle in that inside lane when the Rogue struck him head on. Even though he wore a helmet, the impact ejected him and caused severe head and body injuries that prove fatal. Witnesses saw the Nissan driver get out of her vehicle clearly upset and she herself called for police. Officials note she showed no signs of impairment and has no prior driving issues or criminal record.
