8:18How to do their jobs? So this is what the company do. They place these experts in part time or temporary contract roles to work on training projects for major technology companies. So it offers a path for you to earn something extra from your expertise, but at the same time, there's the risk of eventually sacrificing your career to artificial intelligence. Yeah. I mean, is it worth it? Yeah. Well, I mean, you know, that's a question some people unfortunately might be asking themselves as you and I are speaking right now. No, absolutely. And this is, you know, my kids, they're in their duties and they're like, what is this going to do for me? Yeah. And they feel it's really in question at this point. So it depends on who you ask. That's exactly right. Futures this morning. We are in for another big day. Traders taken on more risk after what's been a pretty extraordinary rally.

9:18So yeah, looking up right now, the down futures, Tom, up 251, there's a few futures up 26. So yeah, I think we're on track to top another record there, Nasdaq futures 100 points higher right now. You know, look, I mean, just to tie a ribbon around this job thing, it appears more and more people are more and more optimistic. The jobless claims were far less than many expected yesterday. And so we'll see how it all plays out moving forward much will depend upon the war in Iran. And whether we have official peace as early as this weekend, all right, we do it every single Friday, love getting together with our TV insider TV guide magazine. That would be Matt Roush. Some of the big TV headlines and this is a big one, Matt. Good morning to you, my friend, American gladiators is back tonight.

10:20Yeah. Yeah. I mean, everything old is new again, as we often say on television and just like a week ago, we welcome. Malcolm in the middle back for a short run. And now it's Matt, American gladiators, which has, you know, come and gone on the TV schedule. It was syndicated back in the day. I can remember when it was a big hit in the 1990s. And I was particularly amused by all of that because Joe Fiesman, who was our quarterback when I was in DC during that time. He was one of the hosts during those days. But now the franchise is back. We've got 16 new gladiators, male and female and I was looking at their backgrounds and some come from the world of pro wrestling and some from football and other sports. And then quite a few are also reality TV veterans who've been on reality TV competitions like the challenge and what have you. So these are people who know how to strut their stuff on television for sure. And they're going to take on these amateurs who are going to try to become the new gladiators and stay doing these big competitions.

11:21It's just, you know, in a big arena, it plays out like, you know, it plays out like a cage match or a pro wrestling or something like that. But the fact is, it's like every day people enter the ring and try to see how they can do as warriors in the ring and sort of like what you see on American Ninja Warrior, which is a big hit for NBC. A lot of the people who are coming in as contestants have very interesting personal stories and they're trying to prove themself for this reason or that. But it really is about the spectacle of it all. And it's playing out on streaming. So they're going to do it sort of differently where you're going to get three episodes launched today. And then next week there will be another three. And then it's all over on the third week with four episodes. So it's a relatively contained series. But if it's a hit, I'm sure there will be more. And the host is Mike Mizman, who is a big wrestling star. So yeah, so it's got that real vibe to it. You know, wrestling still is a big deal on various networks on television. But to have the American gladiators back just again shows you that no franchises truly dead.

12:22They all come back from time to time on television. And now it's American gladiators turn. And look, the last man and or woman standing caches in with $100,000. So certainly we'll be watching that. It's interesting the way they're releasing it as you just mentioned. Okay, let's grueling competition gets underway Monday. This time over on Netflix with funny AF with Kevin Hart. What's this all about? Well, it's a competition, but it's a comedy competition. So sort of like I remember the like the last comic standing show that was on NBC a while back. It's one of those kind of shows where you have Kevin Hart at the heart of it. And he is going to be the host and also the person who's going to help decide who the next big stand up media is going to be. Whoever wins this competition will be getting their own Netflix comedy special. So this is going to put a new comedian on the map. Some of these shows have created big comedy stars. And so hopefully Kevin will discover somebody big who comes up and does this. And again, this is going to play out over several weeks with four episodes on Monday

13:22when the show launches to the following week. And then the following week and the first week of May, you're going to get it. It's in my final or final. And so again, it's a relatively compact. It doesn't play out over the court of a long season. The way it does on regular network TV, but that's the way streaming kind of works. But they're also bringing in some really great talent that some of the guests judges. So I have a feeling this will be a really fun show to watch because the interplay between the judges and the contestants, it should be really a lot of fun. You're going to get key, get Michael Key, Chelsea Handler, Nicky Glazer, Kim O'Neal, Nodging Ony from Silicon Valley, these are among the guest judges. They're all stars in their own right. So if you're a big fan of comedy, that's your idea of what you want to see in a competition show. Of course, reality competitions are all over everywhere you look. So that is the thing Netflix is going to launch on Monday. Okay, Earth Day is next Wednesday. And there are lots of nature TV shows heading our way. One in particular features Sir David Addenboro, who turns a hundred by the way next month,

14:23called a gorilla story. You know, look, for moms and dads out there, if you want to get your kids off devices, right, or off of social media, these shows were about to talk about two in particular, a gorilla story and a rangatang. You know, those would be the kind of shows to spend some time and sit down and have your kids watch these kinds of shows because they look very, very fascinating to me anyway. Well, yeah, and the nature TV has been with us, you know, you think Disney has a whole unit, National Geographic. Of course, it's famous for it, BBC, it has a nature unit, and that's where we got to know David Addenboro, who was narrated and presented many of greatest nature series of all time. Like you said, he turns a hundred and a hundred next month, and he still has stories to tell. This particular one, a gorilla story, which drops today on Netflix, is he'm looking back at his journals from the 1970s when he first came to our attention with

15:24an amazing series called Life on Earth. One of the aspects of that show Life on Earth was his encounter with his baby gorilla named Pablo, who he met in the mountains of Rwanda. And again, there's so you're going to see footage from that, and this is just fascinating stuff. You watch as much as, you know, Jane Goodall was so famous with her interaction with Ruelas and all of that. This is something that is just always wonderful to watch, but he followed Pablo's life, and what happens in this series of gorilla story is that filmmakers of today go back into the mountains of Rwanda, and they find the descendants of Pablo, who have created their own tribe, and you get immersed into their routine. It was filmed over several years of 250 hours of footage to capture these gorillas on their daily life and see how life of Pablo's descendants made it. At the same time, you're getting David Addenboro's story, a T. Reflex back on his discovery of that world all those many years ago. So it's really, this is also timeless television. And of course, as I mentioned, Disney has their own nature unit, and on Disney Plus on birthday, which is Wednesday,

16:30they're going to a premiere show called Ringatang, which is going to follow and add a lesson to the Ringatang 8, going off on his own into the wild. So it's a personal story about one particular Ringatang. So that should be really fascinating too. Like you can see, you're really immersed in these stories. And PBS, of course, has their own series, Nature, which is wrapping its 44th season on Wednesday, and they're doing it with a special on what they call the legendary Tigers of India. So Tigers, Ringatang, gorillas, oh my, you know, so all of Great Nature is there for you. National Geographic is also doing stuff, I'm sure. So yeah, if you're a fan of nature television, this is a really good week for that because we are approaching Earth to be after all. Okay, I want to get to a couple of shows to keep an eye on away from the nature stuff. Let's start on Apple TV. Margot's got money. Troubles. Good show. Bad show. What? Oh, it's fantastic. Yeah, this is getting some real Emmy buzz. And the first three episodes dropped on Wednesday and it stars L fanning and Michelle Fiper as mother and daughter and mother. But they're both single moms in the pilot, Margot, who is L fanning. She's a college student

17:36who gets involved with her professor and ends up pregnant. She decides to keep the kid because after all, she was raised as a by her own single mom. Michelle Fiper, who got really great notices a month ago in a Taylor Sheridan series called The Madison. That was a drama series. And now in this comedy series, Michelle Fiper just hits another home run playing. Margot's mom, who was an ex-hooter's waitress in the works for Bloomingdale. She's tough as nails. She's a survivor. She sees her daughter going through it all over again. She says, this is just going to break you, my dear. I'm just so sorry for going through this. But at the same time, she's going to be there for her. And then Margot decides to make some money. She goes on only fans, which is a very provocative website as you might be aware. This is a spree line that plays out on a lot of TV shows and holidays. But in this case, it kind of seems credible because this girl, she is broke. She is broken. But she's trying to get herself back up. So she does this thing at the same time. Her dad, who she almost never knew, moves back in with him. That's played by Nick Offerman, who I've loved ever since Parks and Recreation. But he plays this ex-wrestler,

18:38who was coming out of rehab. And he wants to get a second chance at being a dad. So he had to come through really good babysitter. So there's this really unusual family unit here. All these guys struggling to get by. But at the same time, you really care for them. It's funny. It's gritty. It's got lots of stuff. It's got many troubles. But it has no trouble entertaining. So that one is my pick for the week in terms of what came on this week. That's on Apple TV every Wednesday. And I highly recommend it. All right. Last one we want to talk about for those of us old enough to remember how popular they were at one time. The duo of Cheach and Chong. And now all of a sudden, what Paramount Plus streaming something called Cheach and Chong's last movie. Yeah. It's basically a documentary. But you're going to get a lot of clips from back in the day when they were when they were doing their high on life routine. And this is all happening on Monday, which is April 20th. Or as you know, 420 is sort of an unofficial national cannabis day. I guess you call it. So in that regard, Cheach and Chong, who were sort of the ambassadors for that kind of a thing, they're going to look back at their career and you're going to get managed clips and road movie footage and all of this. But if you're a fan of Cheach and Chong,

19:42and they were kind of they were pretty popular back in the day that this is though what they called their last movie. They're no longer a team, but they're also still friends. I'm sure. But also that same day, you're going to get a special on on Hulu called 4x24 by 20. I guess, quick hits, 20 minute documentaries looking at that subculture, including about making of Harold and Kumar go to White Castle, another documentary, 20 minute documentary about the history of the high time as magazine. You can get a contact high just by watching these shows, I'm sure. But nonetheless, that's what's happening on Monday. The Ncp 500 heading for a third week of gains of more than 3 percent. It's a pretty impressive rebound in stocks that's been fueled by the peace talks in Iran as well as tech optimism and robust earnings. The S&P 500 eclips the 7,000 point this week,

26:02notching its first record since January among the most active in the pre-market trading shares of Netflix and they're tumbling almost 10 percent on a disappointing earnings forecast. They also said the co-founder Reed Hastings is stepping down for the board. Shares of Alcoa are lower in pre-market trading despite surging metal prices. The aluminum company delivering disappointing earnings. And faced with the news that Saudi Arabia's public investment fund was preparing to pull back its funding of the upstart live golf circuit. Dow Jones reports the players who left the PGA tour for live seem to have have no clue of what's going to happen next. Dow reports they took notice earlier in the week when live missed a contractual payment. From Bloomberg, I'm John Tucker News Radio 700 WLW. All right. Here we go. Rolling into the weekend on a Friday. Let's make it a good one. We got beer Dave coming up normally about this time on Fridays. What we like to do is talk about three or four different topic stories in the news. They can be politics. They can be health. They can be just fun.

27:04And we've got it all covered. Let's start on the health front. Are you a person who drinks diet sodas? Diet sodas contain little to no calories. They use artificial sweeteners. They are a popular choice. If someone's craving a sweetened beverage, but wants to remain mindful of their intake calorie wise, however, more and more studies, and I'm amazed how many people I continue to see reach for these artificial sweeteners. Because virtually every study that comes out, they're not good. One recent study found that people who drank more than one diet soda a day. Listen to this. We're over four times more likely to develop dementia than those who had one or none. Also, each additional diet soda per day was linked to about 39% higher risk of getting

28:11dementia. Now, a research professor said, look, we do not know for sure what ingredients may be driving the association, but there have been other studies about these low or non-calorie sweeteners that have been associated with faster cognitive decline. They had an eight-year study recently. And long-term effects from these artificial sweeteners were linked in particular to early dementia and or cognitive decline, just something that you want out there. All right. Meanwhile, did you read the story about this Indiana counselor, school counselor, right? She's over in Madison Community School, South Madison Community School, teacher over there, counselor over there. She got fired for speaking about her institutions, gender identity policy. She won the lawsuit for 200 grand. And basically what they were doing in

29:15Indiana, I mean, you expect to hear this in Massachusetts or maybe Illinois or certainly California Oregon, New York, New Jersey, but Indiana. What they were doing was they were in the school not notifying parents if a child wanted to change their pronoun. This woman was at the school for 37 years. And she said, look, if kids want to change their pronoun, whatever, but don't we have to notify the parents, the school district was saying not a chance. We're not telling the parents. She says, I have loved and cared for students for over 37 years. And this is nonsense. The policy did not require parental consent or even parental notification to change a student's name or pronoun. And then from the fun category. And this kid has made a lot of money apparently

30:19with his own lawn and landscaping business. Student out of Mason High School wanted to ask his longtime girlfriend about going to prom. So what did he do? He bought a plane with a banner that said Mia fly to prom with me paid forward himself. They've been dating a couple of years. And for Sam who owns that business, been planning this a long time. Mia said, yes. All right, let's check the traffic out there. See what's happening. And he's like, what's the very latest? And one of these releases is in need would be fermented honey. So the meat is added up with raspberries. And it's aged in a pork barrel. And then you have two stout varieties that are aged in bourbon barrels, one that's 31 months. And the other one is an eight year barrel from MTP. So some amazing beers tomorrow that they'll
